Well that concludes the 2020 draft. Allow me to conclude with this:

I really, really, like Garvin.
He has all the physical tools. Needs some refinement. Needs some toughing up. Z Smith should help with that.
He's only 20, he's raw, but he did produce for a major college for 3 years. I'm shocked he lasted this long. He's good.
I thought he would be an early day 3 pick this year. I was surprised when the Packers took him. Not because he wasn't a good option, I had forgotten about him and didn't realize he was still available. I was shocked. The only pick where I was really happy with at the time.Had Garvin stayed he'd probably been a early Day 3 pick in 2021. If he can figure it out he can be much better than Fackrell ever was.
This dude seems to have his head on much more square than many of us imagined given some of the concern out of draft/Miami. Whether he ends up Practice Squad or making the cut, I like the direction he seems to be heading and the demeanor of this young man!
This is said every year by fans of every team. He's a 7th round project if cut. Every team has them. There is no preseason game film for other teams to scout him with.there's absolutely zero chance he makes it thru waivers and ends up on green bays practice squad.
There is absolutely zero chance that the Packers don't keep Garvin on the 53. They are expecting him to be a contributor as the 4th olb. And if they did cut him which once again there is no chance, there's absolutely zero chance he makes it thru waivers and ends up on green bays practice squad.

Um....while I had Garvin on my pre-draft radar, knew more about it than most here on the board...even I knew he was nothing more than a flyer on Day 3 with immense upside. To say he will instantly be signed off waivers to an active 53 if we don't is strange. Tim Williams is an experienced solid veteran competing against him...which is someone ZaDarius spoke in favor of us adding to begin with in the past...
While I predicted we keep Garvin...I think you might be overselling him...

I don't know if I'd call Tim Williams a solid veteran.
He's just a guy. 2 sacks in 3 years.
When asked about Rashan Gary and his role, Pettine (or Mike Smith, can't remember) talked about Gary and Garvin. I think Garvin is Edge 4 right now, and he ain't getting cut.
I am not proposing he doesn't. I literally predicted Garvin to make it and Williams not. Williams has done more in the league than Garvin is all I'm saying and is for sure his main comp.
Don't sleep on Tipa Galeai...I nearly penciled him in over Williams as well in predicting my 53. There's been a few small hints here and there that he is showing well. I suspect he will be PS guy for sure.
I want to see if he'll get a chance tonight to make some plays, but that ATL OLine is nothing to sneeze at. Ryan stands like a statue back there.
Not that I know of. I just would expect neither to log more than 40-50 snaps today given their injury situation. Is Gary on the inactives?
