IGNORE ROUNDS....if you tell me three years of consecutive drafts are going to give you a grouping of guys like what is below....there isn't a GM, Owner, Coach or fan with a pulse that is saying no to it. I don't think we even still know the full extent of these three drafts will actually be (some guys still unknowns to an extent)....I think there is a serious chance that while yes we may look back on Gute and he will be remembered most for his one off picks of Jaire in his first draft or drafting Love for sure...but that 2022|2023|2024 run was not of this world IMO folks.

Quay Walker - LB
Edgerrin Cooper - LB

Devonte Wyatt - DL
Karl Brooks - DL
Colby Wooden - DL

Christian Watson - WR
Dontayvion Wicks - WR
Romeo Doubs - WR
Jayden Reed - WR

Zach Tom - OL
Rasheed Walker - OT
Jordan Morgan - OL
Sean Rhyan - OL

Kingsley Enagbare - Edge
Lukas Van Ness - Edge

Luke Musgrave - TE
Tucker Kraft - TE

Evan Williams - S
Javon Bullard - DB
Carrington Valentine - CB

Great thread, just terrific.... I've thought about this same thing a number of times over the last year or two; the Gutemeister has had an extraordinary run after a few years of mediocre drafts. He's built one of the best teams in the NFL almost completely in just three drafts.

And I think that two years from now, we'll be looking back on 2025 as a continuation of his success in the previous three years. I think Golden, Williams, Belton, Brinson, Sorrel, and Oliver have a lot of potential - and he got half of those guys on Day Three.

The Giants.
Ugh, why would you want to torpedo your career as the Giants head coach?

Hafley did not like being a head coach in college. Reportedly, some of that was because of the NIL changes. However, don't assume that he wants to be a head coach in the NFL. He seems to love being a coordinator.

I think you already answered your own question. His beef with CFB was the unlimited transfer portal and dealing with NIL.

He is from Jersey. Right next door. Lombardi would have taken the Giants job if it was offered before Green Bay. But it was not.

If that was true, he wouldn't have interviewed for the Jets' head coaching position last offseason.

IMO going from mediocre drafts to plus drafts may have had more to do with the draft capital obtained in the Rodgers and Adams trades than anything else.

Tyni,

Great thread, but to look at the player/quality you have to look at the round. With that being said, he seems to do better after the 2nd round. I mean we've gotten 3 studs, but we got Kraft in the 4th...Wooten and Brooks were Day 3, so were Valentine Tom and Walker.

The 1s and 2s have had slumps or injuries...the 3-7s have been and remained dudes.

False, to look at a player's quality is not impacted one bit by the round they are selected in.

To grade the prospect or draft selection only - then the round impacts it of course.

Also Kraft was not a 4th.
