I don’t know **** about kickers, but he definitely struggled last year according to pundits. We do need a kicker though
Agree.

Was surprised to see that he only made 60% of his FG attempts last year. Big leg, but accuracy issues.

Can't really teach how to have a big leg, but they can work on his mechanics and hopefully straighten it out.

Id just think we’d bring in a DB or OL to look at. They must figure this guy would be gone by UDFA time - blew out his acl in 2021

Hard for me to fathom drafting a kicker unless you believe he is truly special.

Im old and politically incorrect but a guy like Trice or Ojomo watching a kicker get picked it’s like when I was in gradeschool and you’d see a girl get picked with guys still standing there

4 picks to go in the 7th. 9 picks made and still not one S, CB or offensive lineman. I can't remember the last time the Packers didn't take someone from those positions or at least not waiting until the 7th to do so.

This was kinda a neat draft.

We got 3 top 50 selections

5 added selections inside #180 overall

5 more selections between
200-closeout.

We got a ton of dudes to help fill gaps in this Roster and were still picking 4 more players presently.

He must be seen as the best of the rest. They'll always have their eye on everyone's camp competitions & will make a change if necessary.
When you need a K, which the Packers do, you use a draft pick on one of the top ones.....IMO of course. Otherwise, you have no guarantees to sign the one you like as an UDFA.

Pick #242 is in...Packers select
Valentine could be a switch to safety candidate.
Like what this scout said about him:

"Tall, nasty, athletic cornerback who wants to get under the WR's skin. Incredibly physical at the line. Has recovery speed if beaten. Didn't have much ball production and his wild style leads to missed tackles. High-upside flier."

Valentine is a roller coaster of a CB, very high motor but gets him in trouble often, I bet he makes it through STs if he does.

Trice and Ojomo have been the ESPN best available for like 20 picks or is that an error?
