I hope we play more dissaplined vs the Bucs. Through 3 games, we have the most accepted penalty yards in the league.

Bucs put up 8 penalties against the Vikings. And with a rookie back up QB in his 1st start I would expect some false starts. This game could be an ugly one no matter who comes out on top.

That’s why they call it Any Given Sunday. It’s a matter of time before we win another game, might as well be this week.

I also don’t think this is the Bucs we’re accustomed to. They’re also suffering.
While Chicago did great for not featuring Caleb, that was still a home game and that crowd was raucous. It won’t be nearly as easy playing on the Road imo. The Bears are all over the map this year and everyone is acting like they are Super Bowl bound. SB teams don’t swing wildly by 56 points from 1 week to next imo.
I was shocked at how well the Bears played against the Eagles and without CW. And yeah, they have swung up-down-and back up.

Seems like they've done some good work with their defense to go along with a very potent offense. That they only scored 3 against the queens is also shocking, but maybe a testimony to the dominant D Flores is running in MN.

CW will be back and my money is still on the Bears winning the North.

Thanks D. This pic shows the Packers' penalty woes very clearly. I believe these penalties happen mostly because of bad coaching. But c'mon man - these guys have been playing football all of their lives (well since HS). The scale of the penalties is dumbfounding.

A game like that could take 3.5 hours and then go into OT......And the end in a 9-9 tie.

If we can't win this game, off of a mini-bye AND facing an undrafted rookie QB? We are TOAST this season. The football Gods are giving us a blessing with this one.
Good point. After the last three weeks, a dominant win would be sweet. But I said that about the Jets and Falcons.

Just win. 2-2 without Michah isnt bad. The rest of The NFL sucks.

Sign Zietler and let's go already!

Yep, this team is capable of any worst-case scenario we can dream up. No bar is too low for this OL.

So that's a complaint and needs a suggestion for improvement. I'll try.

Gluten can add OL talent that he likes, guysa are available, and have an above average career record. Kinda like the guy he just signed.

When thinking about the OL and its coaches, I'm thinking of a quote by the CEO talking about his kids running the company - "You are not serious people."

I think this applies to the OL and its coaches, right up to MLF, sad. I don't understand how the glaring weakness of the OL wasn't dealt with, and addressed, in the off season.

That's a GM faiure, and maybe MLF had something to so with it if he, in is heart of hearts, thought this OL would be effective. It hasn't come close.

Next draft, I would like to Gluten to pick guys with position strength. The approach, involving he acquisition of O linemen who have versatility playing multiple OK positions hasn't worked. Picj guys based on their positional talent, be if G, C, and/or T.

Well said. The winner will be the best, worst team. A fitting ending would be a tie.

In an article today in the JS, Fox Network (I think) has moved the game from 3:25 pm to 1pm. I thought this was only allowed in the second half of the season or just December. It's not surprising, and it's reflective of the awful play by both teams.

Hi Ca

Hiya Carry. Who is Zietler? I'm not familiar with the name. Thanks!!!

Zeitler:

A prodigal son is coming home. Kevin Zeitler, a 14-year veteran and Pro Bowl right guard, is returning back to the state of Wisconsin to sign with the Green Bay Packers.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Packers are signing Zeitler on Wednesday, one day after he worked out for the team. Zeitler, who comes out of unofficial retirement with the signing, becomes the third veteran guard and second former Pro Bowler to sign with the Packers since the team’s Week 3 loss last Thursday night, joining Laken Tomlinson (signed to the 53-man roster) and Mekhi Becton (practice squad).

Zeitler, a Waukesha native, played for the Wisconsin Badgers during some of their finest seasons in recent memory, serving as the team’s starting right guard from 2009 to 2011. The Badgers won double-digit games in each of those three years and made two Rose Bowl appearances, while Zeitler earned first-team All-American honors as a senior in 2011. He then became a first-round draft pick in 2012, selected 27th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals.

In his 14 NFL seasons, Zeitler has played for six different teams, but has remained a quality, steady player at every single stop. Most recently, he started 16 games for the Tennessee Titans in 2025 while on a one-year, $9 million contract. Unlike Tomlinson and Becton, Zeitler likely will draw a significant salary for the remainder of the season.

That game may have revealed more about the Eagles than the Bears.

OMG I hate night games anyway. They go way past my bedtime. It's doable if the Packers are playing well, otherwise it's late night torture, and makes it hard to sleep.

Funny how I, and many others, connect emotionally with the team. It goes beyond just being a fan.

Thanks Curly. The guys Gluten is adding are older with excellent experience. At theor age, they won't dominate, but if they can execute assignments and communicate across the line, they will almost certainly help.

I seem to recall Zeitler's name from his Badger days. And as you say, he has produced everywhere he's been. At this point Gluten has to do anything to improve that line. I'm a little surprised he hasn't used one or more of his numerous 2027 draft picks to trade with a team that will be rebuilding next year. That's a lot harder to do, and it may just e too early.

It's really something when the "bad boys of the NFL," Oakland Raiders, have 1/3 the amount of penalty yardage as the Packers. What makes me mad is the number of them that have happened that gives the other team a major lift in momentum and ends up biting us because we can't score because we can't move the chains, or they end up scoring after they should have been punting to give us the ball.

At this point, I like the idea of adding veterans to stabilize the situation. That said, these players were all available for a reason, the primary one being age. These guys all have some miles on them.

It's still looks like an upgrade, however. Jordan Love is your franchise, and he needs to be protected.

If it was not so preset I bet the NFL wishes it could change the Cowboy-Packer game on SNF. There are some matchups that day that would draw a lot more of an audience.

Older vet, bounced around a bit. Played real good last year. Should be solid, but at the elast will know who to block
Thanks Carry. I think this is Gluten's second OL addition this week. I forget the other player's name.

At least Gluten is trying to fix the mess that is mostly his responsibility. The talent on the OL is so bad, it's hard to understand how a GM could let this happen. It started with the Banks acquisition, playing Morgan and Belton out of their best positions, and now the season-ending injury to ZBB. It has been a perfect storm of ineptitude for the OL and the front office and coaches.

I don't see it getting fixed this season. Hate to be that pessimistic only three weeks into the season. But I watched all three games and the OL remains consistently bad.

I still think Gluten is a solid GM. He just made a series of mistakes on the OL, and now he and the team and the fans are paying for it.

The way the Packers are playing milani, it would be a good move to switch the game out. Some week three NFL power rankings have GB close to the bottom at #28.

I'm usually fired up before the Packers games. That has now all but disappeared. I hate to come across as a fair-weather fan, but the team and organization is making this hard.

And contrary to what I just posted, yes, I'll keep watching the games. I might have my hands over my face, but I'll grind through it…...

Agreed Curly. These aren't earth-shattering moves by Gluten. At least he's trying to clean up a mess that is mostly his responsibility.

And it is an upgrade. Love can't survive the season taking so many hits.

And a lot of our penalties are from a lack of discipline such as motion errors which go back to coaching.
