Me thinks Washington poor level LG and Rookie RT are going to get the workout of their collective lifetimes on Thursday. While Washington did get better at LT with Probowl Tunsil, they are highly suspect at LG. Also idc if you’re a late 1st Round talent at RT, lining up against this current Packer Pass Rush deep rotation might get ugly.
Daniels may opt to rollout or take off to the left side more.

The main comfort I take with the four day turnaround is that the Commanders have the same disadvantage - plus they have to travel.
Exactly what I was thinking. At least we sleep in our own beds. It sucks to travel 1000 miles on a 4 day week.

Also thankfully this year we have good depth at OL. I mean our OL6 (Morgan) might even be an upgrade.

Gutey had a nice trade there for Kinnard. That guy has some serious length. At 6’5 1/3 , 11.25” hands and 35.0” arms and runs a 1.79 10-yard split.

I wonder if the mobile qb we see now really made Gute go after parsons

He can chase the fast ones down
Not just him but Quay and Cooper with their athleticism and McDuffie is savvy in read and assignment football - if asked to spy he is decent at it

But we had them already. They almost pulled a deal for Hendrickson with Clark . But they said no . What made Parson a better fit?

This Thursday is a Packers Whiteout Winter Warning) game. We went 2-0 wearing these uniforms in the inaugural season last year, hopefully that record improves to 3-0 tomorrow night.

Also, Sterling Sharpe being honored at halftime for his HOF induction.

Or Bengals said no…we will never know.
Its a lot of heresay so grain of salt and all that but the reports I've seen is that it was Clark and a mid round pick for Hendrickson. We had a contract worked out with Trey and Cincy backed out out the last minute. Not GB

How close that was to the Parsons trade is really just people guessing so its very possible we didnt think Dallas was actually going to deal him at the time. (i mean seriously who that Dallas was going to be dumb enough to trade him?)

Im happy with we ended up with Parsons instead even with the extra draft capital due to age difference and that the Hendrickson contract likely would of been in the 40 per range

I watched Jon Gruden's video previewing the game. He predicted the Commanders to win 23-20.  :poop:

I don't think it is unreasonable to say it's a toss up game. Both teams are freaking awesome, both have incredible QBs, lethal weapons, solid defenses and solid coaching.

If my team wasn't involved in this game and bias could come out - I'd yield to the home team only because of how close they seem to be otherwise.

Jared Goff is a slow QB, and he got to the edge several times last week because our edge rushers got suckered inside too often. Parsons' speed helped cover up the sloppiness of our other edge rushers but mobile QBs like Daniels could really exploit this lack of discipline.

Luckily, we saw Hafley guard against this last season with defensive plans that aimed to contain mobile QBs instead of pressure them. It's a tradeoff that I think that he will have to make again this week, likely substituting LB and DB blitzes.

Oh believe me, I'm not saying the Commanders don't have a chance to win, they're very dangerous. It just irks me that Gruden picked against us at home after the way we played Sunday. Seems disrespectful.

I don't think Hafley was very concerned with Goff getting to the outside. And so I think (as you say), he will coach a different game as far as the DEs are concerned in containment. Daniels finding an opening to run up the middle is also a concern. Hopefully our linebackers will be ready for that. imho

I agree, but sloppy play like that will lead to problems down the road. I don't think that Hafley told the Edge rushers that it was okay just for Week 1 to get sucked in and lose containment.

Anything can happen it’s football. If a team comes in sleepy? No matter how good they are they can lose. Let’s get that monkey off our back, this is the NFL and no guarantees.

Gruden predicted last Week The Packers would be losing -4 late in the 4th Qtr. 23-27. Micah would make a clutch play that would Take GB on a last TD drive 30-27 end of regulation.

Seems to me it was
Packers 27 (not Detroit)
Detroit 6 (2 FG’s ALL day)

Now I would’ve also been wrong. I had no idea the GB D was built like THAT! Talk about being off on a prediction. It’s like it wasn’t even the same game he called there. What the H happened??! Does anyone ask these guys afterwards on film why they were so wrong?

On the other hand, with Goff you want to get to him in a hurry. If he hurts you by going outside; then you need to make that in game change. But until then, get to him fast. So I'm not so sure it was sloppy. Now Rodgers, even with less mobility than b4, could still hurt you by rolling out of the pressure. So I think you would have a bit different mind set with him. Anyway, definitely different this week.

Just my opinion but I think Washington is a very good football team. Led by a dynamic, young QB. Similar to our situation.

Offensively you almost can’t find a closer example of O strength. Now Washington has a different mix of how they get results (QB is really their RB1, Robinson RB2) but they are VERY similar.

Defensively. Washington has to fix their Bottom 5 Run Defense. They flipped Jonathan Allen to the Vikes in favor of Javon Kinlaw who’s coming into prime. They lost Jeremy Chinn but drafted Trey Amos in the secondary. They also flipped out Sack artist LB Dante Fowler (10.5 sacks) for a more well rounded but 35 year old LB, Bobby Wagner. Imo they will be better against the Run upfront, but sacrifice some Pass Rush in doing so.

Hard to tell how 2 teams matchup, but I really like our chances. I just think Micah Parsons increased snaps past 50% will keep him fresh, but heavily involved. Too many good Defenders in GB that play the Run game well. Plus you don’t have time to stay in the Pocket to throw it, it’s a catch 22. Ask Jared Goff

Really looking forward on seeing if the D can shut down Daniels like they did the entire Lions offense last week. This easily could be a match up in the playoffs.
