So all my fellow draftnicks - time to show us how much you know about TT, the Packers and the draft.

Last year Rodell won with 13 points. Excellent job!

https://www.packerforum.com/threads/draft-contest.51325/

How it works:

Supply 20 names of players and the round the Packers may take them.

Rules:
Select a total of 20 Players
Pick at least 1 player per round
List their name and position.

Correct Player: 3 pts
Correct Player in Correct Round: 3 PLUS the round number pts

Therefore if you go:

Round-Player
1 - Bob wr
1 - Mack pk
2 - Steve te
2 - Ed olb
3 – Chuck wr
4 - Marty s
5 - Pete s

And the Packers draft Ed in the 3rd and Pete in the 5th, your points would be:

Ed (correct player) 3 pts
Pete (correct Player in Round 5) 3 + 5 = 8 pts
11 pts total

Where is the dude that bragged about how he had over half the picks correct last year? He was on early in the season. Oh wait he was banned for being an arrogant know-it-all that ruffled the wrong feathers.

Which 3 guys?
I was strongly leaning towards Donnal, Brown & Marshall. I like the Iowa players that go through Ferentz's program. I think there is an old school toughness that gets instilled into those guys.

Well Donnal would make a lot of sense. Ted always spends a mid/late-round pick at an o-lineman and Ted loves Iowa guys. Moreover the guy did visit the Packers. This was actually one of my first names to put on my list (after Morse, Heuerman and Kendricks).

Brown also visited the Packers, and fits in the 6th round. Since the Packers have three 6th round picks, that one also would make sense.

Nick Marshall is interesting one, but also a tough one (might go earlier/later). He has the size and the athletic ability, but he lacks experience at the position. He might be a similar prospect as Goodson. Ted likes some gambles with his late round picks, and he might pick this guy as a developmental prospect. This was one of the last names on my 20 man list, so I might still change this one.

Thanks!

*hands you a hanky for weeping when Melvin Gordon inexplicably drops to 30 and TT grabs him or for just blowing your nose because Gordon drafted in the teens.*

The RB steal in this draft would Ajayi in the 3rd. round if he lasts that long. More rounded than Gordon; better fit in the Packer scheme; as defenses tire he gets stronger.

I like Ajayi for the Packers, he would be a great fit!

There have been some reports though that there are some very serious concerns about his knee (CBS). However there are also reports that these concerns are overblown (PFT). So we will probably find out on draft day which report was right.

It looks like the CBS report was bogus:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/21/jay-ajayi-knee-concerns-overblown-if-not-fabricated/

Ajayi injured the knee in 2011. Since then he's had 751 touches for 4,567 yds.; I'm not concerned about the knee. The more rumors the better! ;)

I was not aware until reading the above link that Ajayi is the only player in FBS history to run for 1,800 yds. and catch for 500 yds. in a season. I saw that the Packers interviewed him at the Combine and I just liked his tape.

I like what I have read on Ajayi, but with some scouts going on about him possibly being the best value back in the draft, I doubt he will be around after the second round and I can't see TT going offense in the first 2 rounds

I like him in the 3rd. round if he lasts that long. It's a deep running back class from #15 down through the first 3 rounds. Ajayi does not have the top end speed a lot of teams prefer, and there are 31 other teams with a lot of holes to fill. You never know.

This is hard. Like actually doing the job of a scout i imagine... Some years I have nothing to do, and winter creeps in , and i feed my OCD with football. Those years I could have rambled off 20 with good reason for each... But this year, I stared for an hr, and didnt get anywhere. I will throw some hopes out there though, without really watching any tape, or statistics, or articles.

1. Gordon. Thats for the haters. lol We pick him im going to cash in for 4 points.
1. Landon Collins SS Alabama. He is a raw guy. Has ok speed, and played some dime back for Alabama. He was also a great special teams guy. He jumps out at me... Maybe because Dix is da man? Maybe because Bama is da man? Maybe because 6' 228 pound safetys are da man? I dont know, but get him a gold helmet I say. Him and Hyde could be something we never seen before.....? I know I contradict myself on the logic of why we shouldnt draft Jalen Collins, for being too raw. Or wanting more dominant D-line to play more base 3-4. But I dont care, Landon Collins I want.
1. Kendricks, play the odds on favorite to balance my long shots.
1. Maxx Williams- TE MN. He is 3rd generation NFL, and the best TE prospect on the board.
2. Benardrick McKinney- ILB Miss st. Could maybe trade back a few spots and still get him. After 49ers take Kendricks on us... Grrrrrrrrr 9ers.
2. Xavier Cooper DE Wash st. This dude is 300 pounds, and plays fast enough to rush the passer, and get tackles for loss. Exactly was we need from a big DE. I really like this guy, he is my hope for 2nd pick now.
2. Michael Bennett-DT (DE for us) Ohio St. I wint this guy too. Even willing to reach for him in 2nd round. Would be a steal in 3rd.
2. Stephone Anthony ILB Clemson. If we didnt get Kendricks or McKinney. Its should be Anthony. We need a good prospect for that spot. I like all 3.
3. Marcus Hardison DT AZ st. This guy is a potential stud in the 3rd.
3. Chris Conley WR Georgia. Dude is ranked 134 on this list. I think it would be an absolute steal to get this guy in the 3rd. 6'2' 213 4.35 40. 45" vert. 12' broad. and he goes and gets it.
3. Josh Shaw CB USC. Big fast strong from a big program. We can teach him the rest.
4. Joey Mbu- Houston DT. He'd be a good contributor I think. dont think he will be there end of 5th round.
4. Mike Davis RB SC. He is an NFL RB with his low center of gravity, and size. Has good enough speed to break some loose too.
5. Xavier Williams- DT UNI? good pick for end of 5th round.
6. CJ Uzomah-TE Auburn. Great athlete. big.
6.Taiwan Jones ILB Michst.
6. Hutson Mason- QB Georgia. Im sure the Sons of Bunyan have this guy ranked high...
6. Chris Bonner-QB Pueblo. big, and has good accuracy. MM can work on the feet and getting the ball out quicker. Plus Im optimistic one of the 6th rounders will be a QB project.
7. Josh Robinson RB Miss st. 5'8" 213 will be a hard guy to tackle I bet. And they say he catches the ball well.

Theres 20.
