Should one or both win those respective awards for obvious reasons?

Do they need to make playoffs? OR just finish above 500?
Do they need to in a playoff game?

Here is a list of players on ir, or been out a game or two..

Jolly
Harris
Bigby
Barnett
Jones
Burnett
Martin
Poppinga
Neal
Harrell
Blackmon
Could even add Clay and Pickett

Grant
Finley
Tauscher
Driver

Any more?

I think they have to make playoffs for Ted and or Mike to be considered...

I think the GM from ( Scott Pioli) KC will have a better shot if KC makes playoffs..

Ted Thompson has looked really good this season in the way he has stocked the team with good back-ups. I'm still not in love with Mike McCarthy as a great coach. A lot of the reason we are playing so great should be attributed to Dom Capers imo. Clay Matthews is possibly our MVP, and we all know Mike is the guy leading the offense mostly. He made some bad calls in the Chicago game if i remember correctly. The team finally fixed the penalties but we also set a franchise record for penalties in the Bears game and it probably single handily cost us that huge game.

Depends on December (and tomorrow), but they're in great shape at the moment.
Everyone is well aware of the losses of Grant, Finley, Matthews, and a bunch of other ones.

The Jets GM deserves some credit as well.... look at all the new guys he brought in via non-draft means.

If we get a top-2 seed, I think McCarthy wins COY.
Unless Tampa Bay manages to beat Atlanta and New Orleans in that division.
But we all expect them to fade.

I think they are both contenders, but honestly the Packers will have to win a playoff game for it to happen. In my eyes, TT is already GM of the year. He has assembled an extremely deep and young roster without mortgaging the future. And the proof is in the team's performance despite all of the injuries - many to key players like Finley and Grant (and even Clay for a few games).
And to first Atari Bigby, then Morgan Burnett... then Bigby again.
Nick Barnett..... Mike Neal.
Burnett & Neal were our 2 defense draft picks that were supposed to help the defense, and both didn't make it til October even.

Enter Charlie Peprah, Derrick Martin.
Exit Martin. Enter Anthony Smith.
Exit Smith. Enter Jarrett Bush. Uh-oh.....
