To help ensure that the final weeks of the season will be meaningful, Roger Goodell said on ESPN Radio this morning that every week 17 game will be a divisional match up.

Also, in the last three weeks of the season, there will be 28 divisional games, compared to 15 last year. This is a GREAT decision.

Majority of last games of the year will feature division opponents

At least that is what I think Rodger Goodell said on Mike and Mike

It still won't solve the problem, but it is a great step. If a team has everything wrapped up by week 14, there's nothing stopping them from resting their starters, regardless of who they play.

I like this I think. Every game the first week of the season should be a divisional game as well.
