don't think anyone is saying love is a problem, but even I was shocked at his first contract outside of his rookie deal being THAT big
That’s the tradeoff when you let your 1st round pick sit for 3 years and then he’s almost a free agent by the time you even get a glimpse at what you have.

How? It is the nature of the next young franchise QB flow. Many of us here were within 10/15 Million from the gross total.

maybe so, but I would have thought(with my limited contract knowledge) somewhere around 30-35 per season plus extras

really? i've not been here anywhere near as often since I got a real job a few years back, so wouldn't have seen the discussion

Nice throw. Only one catching that was #9

Best single game by a Receiver since Kraft

Yup just nature of contract escalation across the league. Use other similar contracts to players and escalate.

Christian Kirk type anomaly contracts don’t happen hardly ever.

Still doesn’t make the dumb comment have actual credence. Folks saying such things are just foolish to pretend such things were uttered.
But he didn't make them punt until after that, so to that point, it was true at that time. Let me also state that there was no way that I could have seen that being a game long occurrence.

Truest words you have ever typed
A terrible OL, money spent on Banks was ridiculous for body of work, their 2nd string guys even 3rd string are lucky to be in the NFL at all. Way too many mistakes, mental, physical, penalties..... Willis is doing everything he can to keep GB moving, the guy has kept them in this game- now if the D can do their job maybe, maybe they can pull this out????????

You kind of have to. You can’t wait 3 years on your 1st rounder in today’s NFL. You don’t get the value of the rookie contract, and you also don’t really know what you have by the time you have to pay him.
One more thing....we are on the same page. on football knowledge.

Dude looks like prime Aaron Rodgers. It’s so weird. Except he can also run the ball.
