Andy Hermann does a pretty good job with breaking down what he thinks is wrong with the Packers. Much of his focus is on the defense, injuries and underperformance of a lot of players.

Assuming you are meaning "why not" in reference to not being able to hang with either of SF or Chicago's performances last night...

Offensively we've only topped 30pts three times this season, and one of those (our high-water mark scoring-wise for the season at 40pts) required OT to get there

Defensively, without Parsons we have easily the worst defense of the bunch. But assuming good health, our defenses are relatively level IMO

Overall, it still looks like we peaked in.... Week 1 :p
Why not go play the Eagles? About the same.

Oh, yeah. I think my preference is Philly right now. Simply from a matchup perspective...Philly has a much better defense for sure. But I am not nearly as worried about our offense.
On the other hand I have very little confidence in our defense right now. While we did mostly bottle them up a couple weeks ago, Chicago is considerably stronger offensively (and we did keep Philly in check too of course). And I feel like Chicago has all of the "mental momentum" right now. Psychologically I don't love the prospect of heading up to Chicago right now.

The playoffs in Philly has some ghosts from the past. The Packers lost the 1960 Championship there that they should have won. In 2003 we had the 4th and 26. And last year they were just better. We did beat Michael Vick there in 2010.
As far as Soldier Field we know about 2010.

Yeah, we've gone from looking like a Super Bowl team, #1 on several people's power rankings, to wondering if we can win a playoff game. Of course neither Detroit or Washington turned out to be as good as expected at the time.

Funny how teams like Washington can look so good one year and then turn to such crap the next. At least it's to GB's credit that they've avoided that phenomenon for the most part. Although if we were more susceptible to that, maybe we'd have gotten some better draft picks over the years.
