Rhyan is our starting RG/backup OC so he's safe. Belton (RT) looks good against 2/3's. Jennings looks "OK", with 1 holding to correct. Monk? Very bad performance, tonight. Not looking for 3 new OL's, but 1 OC/OG would be a good start.

Possible. See what happens by preseason game 3. Win/lose making any big sweep declarations after week 1 rather meaningless. Lions looked like complete garbage game 1 too...

I don't care if it's pre-season, post-season, Superbowl, or Family Night this was disgusting and embarrassing. At least6 HALF of this roster knows the plays and the execution expected and we lay this bad of an egg with our 1s and 2nd team D? Matthew needs to be reminded that Mark Murphy isn't team president anymore, and the first person fired in this situations is usually the head coach.

It was a bad performance. The Jets have to be feeling pretty optimistic right now.

Player of the game should be Whelan. One touchback but otherwise he was a highlight. But if he has to punt this much the rest of the way his leg will come off by December when punting outdoors becomes more challenging.

After watching this fiasco against the Jets I reminded myself that preseason can be a cluster because it's not really the product we'll see on the field when the regular season starts.

Yet I'd be amiss if I didn't remind people of all the hype that's been coming from 1265 Lombardi Avenue about how a multitude of players are doing so well and look like they're ready to hit the field running. I guess that's the false sense of security you get when you're playing amongst yourselves and not against an actual opponent who is out to win a game from you.

There was no discipline to their game and quite honestly the majority of the offensive players looked like they never played a game before in their lives. The missed blocks, holding, and confusion that bordered on being hectic was amazing. It was like the Keystone Kops in an old silent movie, trying to catch up with the speeding fire truck that was all over the place.

I'm not going to mention player names because even making what was just a normal play made the player look like he was on his way to the Hall of Fame.

What this was, at least in my mind, was a show of what you don't want to do if you intend being a football team with aspirations of winning even one game. I believe that next week we'll see better. At least I hope that's the case because last night was a fiasco.

Yeah. Once again this year. Preseason doesn't mean a thing.
In terms of wins and losses it doesn't mean a thing. I don't think most anyone here cares about the outcome of preseason games much. But what you want to see is execution, improvements from last season and disciplined, fundamental football, none of which we got. The same weaknesses we saw last year (drops, bad holding penalties) reared their ugly heads again, even more so. This time you needed two hands to count the dropped passes we had. Hardmann was absolutely pathetic as a return man. No way he is making the cut. Our assumed two best offensive lineman did not play well at all. The defense played out of position so much that I thought Barry was back as our DC. The only good thing I took away from this game is that Golden looks like the real deal.

1 more preseason game like last night and mlf will be and should be nervous about retaining his job. Of course the Pack usually hang on to someone longer than they should.
Wait and see.

I watched a quarter and fell asleep. Long day working in the humidity. -- and tried to watch... Pack gave me no motivation to do so.

On the 8th day, God created "We'll get 'em next week". ;)

Pretty disappointed in how they played last night, in that drops, penalties, and ST gaffs are still an ongoing issue.

However, I'm still looking at this as it's still preseason, and we stunk up the joint last year too, losing 27-2 to the Broncos. They did rebound and come out firing the following week, and then proceeded to win 11 regular season games, and make the playoffs. It's something to hope for, but I guess time will tell. Our first bite of Packers football this year has definitely left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

I was impressed with the jets D. Just preseason but it seemed like they played really tight and strong and most times everyone seemed within 6 or 7 yards of the center. We were really weak in our D for passes in the middle and in general 3rd down. But every single year you cannot look at preseason and try to extrapolate to regular season wins.

If a team would base a firing on preseason games - that would absolutely be one of the most ignorant things to ever do. Very Bear organization type move….

ugly game but I’m pretty confident it didn’t raise the temperature on LaFleur’s seat by a single degree lol

Unfortunately did not get to see the game as Directv contract with Ch21 duluth not valid.... however, in listening to part of it and checking on the Gamecast a stinker game for GB on top of what apparently was a not good performance on family night. Question: LaFleur is on the hotseat this year (IMO) as is Gute, after seeing reports from Tng camp, especially the "run laps per the coach", info on practices, players, etc.. Wondering if LaFleur has lost these guys in any way.
Also, have to continue to say, Love is a major concern as QB1. His resume is pedestrian and his play yesterday 1 for 5 for 7 yds. should give pause and make everyone wonder if he is the leader this team needs. For $220M+ one would think they had a HoF QB in the making, not!
I get it first preseason game, other teams had bad games as well, however, this team has lots and lots of questions, on both sides of the ball and based on yesterday none were answered except possibly those regarding guys who cannot play in the NFL.
They have 2 left to play and about 3.5 weeks before the season starts, will be interesting to see how they respond the next 2 games - dont care about wins, do care about performances and production.

This was a bad preseason game, and a bad showing by all of our starters. I hope that there's some real gametime improvement before the season starts, otherwise, my worry will increase. I watched only the first half, but it looked like they were horribly unprepared and the other team was. I will wait to panic, but if this is how it's going to be going forward, then I may start to think it's time to fire and start cutting people.

Maybe Aaron Rodgers gave them all our plays.

I think that you should pause your comments until you watch the game. Love played fine. It's most of the people around him that didn't play well.

I tried not to watch much of the ball, but players. Our #1 defense looked atrocious because it looked like somebody *just* taught them how to play zone. Isaiah Simmons was one of the most disappointing defenders that I saw. He looked...terrible. Nixon was badly out of place on the Fields TD run. He missed other plays too. On offense, I agree that the backup OL looked bad. My guy Monk was bad. There was a stretch play to the left where he went to the second level to block the LB. He dove at the guys legs, who was easily able to keep his balance and then ran across the field to make the TFL.

The WRs dropping so many passes was extremely disappointing. There were some positives, but I'll keep those brief thoughts to myself!'

As others said, and I firmly believe, the preseason score is not important. I want to see the players play better though.

He certainly didn't deserve to be chastised for those dropped passes; that's for sure. He got zero support out there except for the one pass to Golden.

I concluded that the Jets played very well and will push the Bills in the AFC East. They have not been to the playoffs since the Rex days. As for the Green and Gold it was ugly on both sides of the ball no matter who was on the field. Our highlights were a McManus long FG, a 4th down stuff, some Johnson garbage t time running, and Whelan. Now although it is preseason and a lot of these players will be gone many will not. It is a bad omen and with this season's schedule we could be looking at a disappointing record.

You have a point on the Jets. They've come into this season with a guy that I think is going to make a very good HC. Aaron Glenn is changing the culture on the sideline, and in the locker room. He isn't about to let the old attitudes win out over his plans. I think his intent in this game was to show everyone that there's a new attitude and it's not to roll over and play dead for anyone at any time.

They were solid last night and it showed. Watching Breaelon Allen run with the football reminded me of his time as a Badger. He could carry the mail and still can.
