It certainly makes it more difficult for the Bears and puts more pressure on their run game. I would look to see Caleb go with the quick shots for 1st down rather than down the field as much. The exception will be Kmet. They will use him all over on any down.
Cole Kmet is questionable for the game as well. I'd wager he plays though. Not being 100% might limit his snap count.
At least we are not chasing Cortland Sutton this week.
I believe Zayne Anderson can fill in at safety or at least take a lot of reps. Kinnard may have to weather it. If Tom cannot backstop effectively they will blow by him. Jacobs is a gamer. The guy reminds me of Jimmy Taylor. He is more focused on hurting the tacklers instead of getting hurt by them.

The ram game showed how defenses can get spent as the game goes along. That and they tend to go into a prevent mode in the late stages. Gotta try and keep our D fresh. Do as much subbing as you can get away with as the game rolls along.

Bears pass defense is mostly meh and we should push there for a hot start. Keep the drives going longer, make sure we have a game that brings the best out of Love.

And for gods sake, don't ease off in 4Q. They are going to attempt a comeback and we need a big cushion to ride that out.

This game will be decided by Love.

I agree with the passing game being the key to a win, so Im good with that. What im not good with is if they have a good drive going just keep at at. Just keep getting those 5-6 yd gains, just keep moving the chains. Dont go for those low % deep passes, especially not on 3rd down. If you have a receiver wide open because the defender fell down, or defense didnt pick
him up, fine, take a shot but other than that just keeping wearing down their D

Tom battling thru knee & back issues, Questionable for Saturday. Equally concerning is Kinnard with a neck, also questionable. Will we see Morgan at RT? Who's left as swing/replacement OT?

Will MLF just roll with 4WR's & a RB & mix up the run/pass, rather than 6 OL or 12 personnel & telegraph the run?
Interesting question. IMO we need to mix in a good share of run. Although our RB status is questionable. Also interesting is we put Lloyd on IR to return designation for playoffs. I NEVER expected they’d spend a spot but maybe we just have enough designations for 3 weeks so no harm no foul. There’s no way they do that if it’s a major setback injury either way. Now I know we’re all frustrated, but wouldn’t it be funny if Lloyd comes in fresh in Postseadon (IF we make it)

We have to remember that we actually had a better per carry in our last meeting. (4.6?). We ran the ball very respectable and that’s one way to protect Love a little and mitigate turnovers.

Also IF Christian Watson can log just 35-50% snap count, we now have Golden to supplement him. We get had that recently until last week. There’s a world where Golden, Doubs, Watson, Reed, Wicks all play adequate snaps.

We also forget about our TE group + Musgrave sneaking up the ladder. I predict he has another 50+ game regular season. He’s got really great hands imo. He’s had a few misses but more so the passes were a little off target. The guys behind him actually are stable and have adequate experience.

It’s much about our OL holding up. We’re not great depth, but I’d call us average + depth. We were smart to sign Kinnard, he’s not great but I’d call him serviceable

Can Bo Melton play on the OL too? :coffee:

Enagbare questionable due to illness, but Cox was activated & taking Parson's roster spot. Hoping Kingsley is ok to go, would be a good Edge rotation having both Cox & Enagbare opposite Gary. LVN would be a moving chess piece between Edge on run downs & sliding inside on pass downs.
Wilson suited up a little sick last week. Engabare may do the same. But strength gets sapped.

Should be around 33-34 degrees at 7pm Kickoff and 30 degrees to finish. Windy overnight into the morning hours but tapering off in the afternoon

Packers will be able to attack this bear defense. I think we will move the ball and put up some points. Love will have a big day. Our running game is starting to come around, but we can find open receivers all day. Focus on short and medium passes.

Packers 27

With the bears 2 best receivers out, they will rely on the running game, which is a Packer strength on defense. I think Cox and LVN both step up in Parsons absence. Parsons wasn't known for run defense but better than some give him credit. We need to get after it on 1st down and put Caleb in long 3rd downs.

Sounds like most of the bear pundits are calling for them to start out fast and grind out the running game early. Those could be contradictory. I hope so. But the early stages will probably be emotion packed. 31 17 Pack. I'm going to look for Golden to be good. I'd love to see him used on 10 to 15 yarders

Caleb needs 850 yds passing over the last 3 games to get to the unheard of (for Bear'QB's) 4,000 yds in a season. Would be great if GB could hold him under the 239 yds from week 14 and dash their hopes of this milestone. He'll probably get to it at some point in his career... just not '25. ;)

I didn't realized that D’Andre Swift, is questionable for tonights game. He is dealing with a groin injury and has been limited all week in practice. Seeing less of him would be awesome for the Pack!

Smokescreen? That would change their gameplan considerably if he's out.

I'm fired up for this game, think MLF may have some (good!) tricks in his arsenal, tonight.

You might think so but I saw a stat that no other team has two RBs with each having as nany yards. I hope that's understandable

Actually 17 degrees down to 10 by the end of the game with a wind chill of near 0

IMHO, I think smokescreens are a thing of the past. Too much legal gambling out there for there for the NFL to want teams to lie about injuries.

Are you looking at the right game? Both weather channels are showing 34 at kickoff with some wind. I’m not seeing a 0 windchill anywhere.
