I know many are always intrigued by the ratings, even if they are merely a metric to observe if nothing else.

Few noteworthy ones:

Dillon was the best rated HB (Jones not far behind as 5th) BUT Dillon put forth the highest running only grade at 90.3. Since 2010 only Derrick Henry, Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson have put up a higher grade. QUADFATHER IS A BEAST, PERIOD.

Davante upped his 92 career high grade to 92.7 and set the best mark in qualified WRs.

Campbell was the second best LB graded for the year which is no surprise.

Other top 20 at their spots include Aaron Rodgers (4th), Big Dog (6th), Amos (14th), Rasul (18th), Clark (14th) Jenkins (12th), Gary (6th) and P Smith (13th)

Here is a comprehensive list of much of the roster and their overall PFF grade for the year:

Thanks for this.

Gary and Dillon stick out; I admittedly criticized both picks.

Jenkins is such a colossal loss, possibly the most significant =(

Lowry and King both have been solid in their respective roles within our defense this year as well - going unnoticed for the most part to boot.

Honestly, how thankful is Aaron Jones that he and the Packers worked out a contract this year for his services and what may become a ring possibly. From every single metric and snap he played it is quite clear that Dillon is more than capable to be a very capable and diverse threat as a teams' #1. To be one of only four HBs since 2010 to run as highly regarded as he, and in his first true year being asked much put forth the highest grade out of all of his competition is incredible. Jones contract means he is here and we get to enjoy arguably the most dangerous backfield Green Bay has ever had in recent memory - I know I'd argue in my lifetime for sure (35 years).

i just hope they are able to put on a display in this game against the 49ers. if we get into a position where our offense becomes one-dimensional, the outcome is not likely to be to our liking.

Interesting and insightful. Thanks for the time you took compiling the data.

My takeaway is that it is clearly easier to score higher at certain positions like WR and Edge than it is at ILB and defensive line. Would be curious to see what the median score is at each position group across the league for every player that played.

i just hope they are able to put on a display in this game against the 49ers. if we get into a position where our offense becomes one-dimensional, the outcome is not likely to be to our liking.

MLF has rarely allowed anyone to deviate him too much from game plan of not overcommitting to one dimension. Hoping that continues.

This year:

We've been a 58% pass to 42% run and that figure home has been slightly less but almost identical, last 3 same thing - which this is middle of the league.

Few more just situational figures for downs and such:

On 3rd downs we pass more than every team but three (Pit, Atl, Min) at 82% of the time. For reference though only two teams pass less than 70% of the time (Arz and Phi)
On 2nd downs we pass right at our average essentially 59% and are middle of the pack.
On 1st down we pass right at about 47% which only ten teams pass less than that..so we are in bottom third of league and run - which makes sense in MLF system.

1st quarter we pass 60% of the time - which upper 1/4 of the league in passing
2nd Quarter we pass 66% of the time which only 4 teams pass more often
3rd Quarter we pass 56% of the time and is slightly below half point of the league
4th quarter we pass 51 % of the time and is lower 1/3 of the league

I can do that. Here you go

Median Scores, if not an even number I chose chose one up or down from median true spot -

QB - 73.9 (39 QBs)
HB - 69.5 (61 HBs)
WR - 68.3 (131 WRs)
TE - 63.5 (74 TEs)
C - 64.9 (39 Cs)
G - 67.2 (84 Gs)
T - 70.6 (84 Ts)
CB - 63.9 (121 CBs)
S - 64.5 (94 Ss)
LB - 52.8 (89 LBs)
ED - 65.2 (114 EDs)
iDL - 64.2 (87 iDL)

I thought Lazard would be a little higher in the ranking but I will take it. He reminds me a lot of Nelson and should be a great threat from now on. Adams was slow off the gates and became the best receiver today.

Honestly though Lazard is a teams' #2/#3 - if we took out the 32 #1s he is immediately a top 20 or so of remaining WRs - which is saying something.

Am I the only one that notices how awful Henry Black is regularly? He looks near lost out there on many plays. He’s often around an opponent making a big play. We ride our underperformers pretty good, but this rating just confirms what I’ve been seeing with the eye test. Get him off the field.

King has actually performed at a solid level this season. I'm quite sure not many Packers fans have realized that.

If you expect Lazard to perform at a level anymore close to the one Nelson was capable of you will be disappointed moving forward.

Nice to see Mercedes Lewis ranking that high. Quite a comeback year - but really he is just getting the focus because of injuries. He probably could have been this productive all along.

This is not the guy to center your offensive line around. He's one to finish the game with. Glad Myers is back for the playoff run {hopefully}. For all the rave the rest of the OL got this season, they sure did not grade out well. Bottom half of their position groups. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts I guess. Plus a lot of help from the fHOF QB behind center changing plays and calling out blocking assignments. Another reason why his replacement seemed to struggle at times.

Me too. Must not get much credit in the rankings for downfield blocking. I always thought he should add 20 lbs and become a TE.

For blocking ranks only amongst qualified WRs Lazard ranked 39th of all WRs and as I've said before MVS is arguably one of the best blockers in the WR room - PFF this year at least supports that as he got the 15th best blocking rating.

No he’s not Corey. He ‘s a high effort guy that’s his MO. He makes up for physical stature with effort and works hard. The good news is more and more it looks like he replaced Newman and that’s an upgrade by default.

Yup, which is why it was surprising he beat him out originally for it but doesn't appear to have kept that role as all signs point towards him being the RG now if Myers can go at C. Newman is young and this was good for him, but at times it was clear that he struggled.

I was also surprised that Kelly graded so solid. Should we have moved Billy to Guard?
We have good depth at OL if needed this playoffs. Hopefully we won’t need them but that’s a very powerful insurance to hold.

Kelly is a small sample size, but he has played exceptionally well when we needed him to. I don't believe Turner should be anywhere but RT - he is exceptional there when on his game.

I guess Tackle is a premier position so that makes sense. I’m hoping this mixup of OL might give us a little push in the Run game also. It just seems like our Run game is not where it should be. We’re too talented at RB not to be dominant there and it all starts upfront.

The Packers should definitely not think about moving Turner to left tackle if Bakhtiari can't play.
