Yeah everyone want to talk down on Rodgers, but on that last drive he had 2 wrs, Jones and Adams both drop game winning touchdowns. Not much Rodgers can do when the wrs aren't catching the ball, at some point the wrs need to make plays too. And that's on top of all the other drops through the duration of the game.

Also had Cobb get covered one on one by a linebacker.

Can I offer up a moment of positivity? It's pretty general and hardly relates in any way, shape or form to the hot, steaming, pile of dog excrement that we all witnessed last night....and I offer no defense for any of the players on the offensive unit ... but ... by declaring the Packers a "Wild Card" team, we're losing sight of the fact that as much as the Pack seem hell-bent on being a Wild Card playoff team ... maybe the Vikings want to be a Wild Card team and will do what they do. Vikings lose this weekend and we're right back where we started the week, right?

A frustrating yet encouraging part of this year is that when we finally get a solid defense, the offense has gone down hill. Who would have thought that would happen?

The encouraging part about that is if the offense gets back on track, this team can be really good. We just saw it a week ago even.

There were some pretty big holes in that defense last night.

Yeah you do expect to win. But they only scored 17 because a; They're the Bears b: they shot themselves in the foot several times.
No, they scored 17 because that's all the defense allowed. How did they shoot themselves in the foot? They didn't have any turnovers.

Penalties making down and distance too long. Though they didn't have a turnover they should have had 4. Cutler's fumble and three dropped interceptions.

17 points is 17 points. No way to tell if the penalties even took away points.

one TD was on a short field..Packers also stop them at goal line to force a fg

But isn't the ESPN link I gave more than just yards? Doesn't it include points and points per game? Doesn't it look at the "whole" defense rather than certain parts?

play around with the column headings---it will arrange according to ascending or descending leaders

Sure, what does it show for "overall" defense? I'm not convinced this defense is all that great. For example; Cutler of all people for pete's sake was throwing over the middle consistently with little resistance.

Not saying the def is great...Just pointing out going only by yards is wrong way to go..

Cutler is not same player from last year. Only 6 ints so far..

Facts are Croak's link is total yards---Carl's is yards per game..

OK, total yards aside, it looks like they are 12th in points allowed. Is that still considered that good? Edit; Looks like you posted the answer just as I was posting this.
