This does not take into account each team's Free Agents.
I am still working on that, trying to find all the players signed by Ted Thompson and all the players he didn't resign.
Looking at this, Ted Thompson (2005 - Present) has done only as well as the rest of the GMs in the North. GMs of his era Vikings: Rick Spielman (2006 - Present), Lions: Matt Millen (2001 - 2008), Bears: Jerry Angelo (2001 - Present)

He has done a decent job considering what he started with, Mike Sherman Era.

That was a great compilation! Hope you post often.

My take on this is that TT is a very good talent evaluator. But to pull it off on his philosophy of building almost exclusively through the draft, you need to nail it in an impressive rate, like the Steelers do. You can't miss on the first rounds, and you need to get at least 2 important starters each draft.

Hey Bad93X...
Here's the explanation to your question...

43 draft picks 1 pro bowler.
6/43 are starters as of today?

As of today... of 43 draft picks in the Thompson era from 2005-2008, 1 has become a pro bowler, Nick Collins- he has also been voted by the AP as a first team All-Pro.
Of the 43 picks Thompson has made from 2005-2008, 6 are current starters today listed on their website.

bad93ex,
You are right. Thompson has been the GM for the Packers for 4 years not including this year. In Wolf's first 4 years (1991-1994), he has 3 pro bowlers from draft picks. Mark Chmura, Dorsey Levens, and Brett Favre (not his draft pick but traded for him). Thompson has one in Nick Collins. So far not too bad when you consider Ron Wolf is a legend and he has done this before on previous teams.

Free Agency might be a different story. I'll have to work on that one.

Just one thing. Spielman had nothing to do with the Vikings 2006 draft. He was put in his current position after the the draft that year. Fran Foley was the man in the 2006 draft.
