Nah, TT is going to sign a practice squad scrub like Dimitri Nance of Atlanta.Ugh. If there ever was a time for trades, I think this would be it.

Two sources have told me the #Packers plan to sign RB Dimitri Nance, a rookie who has been on the #Falcons practice squad. More info to come less than 5 seconds ago via web
So this means we are looking to backup Jackson not bring in a proven starter?
I hope that Jackson has what it takes, but fact is he has never had more than 75 carries IN A SEASON. So there's definitely reason for concern.Wow, a lot of severe overreaction here.
Yes, losing Grant sucks, but I'm confident Jackson will be able to handle the load and even impress some folks. He's a patient runner, which can be both a blessing and a curse. He's also a very stout blocker, so now is his time to sign.
Unless we're planning on cutting or trading Grant, it makes absolutely no sense from a long term perspective to sign some big name. Maybe for a one year deal it could work, but otherwise there's no point when we're going to have Grant back next year.
Anyway, let's take a deep breath. The sky is not falling. Yes, it sucks, but the season isn't over. Who knows, maybe Jackson will surprise you and we'll have a RB controversy on our hands.

I'm usually not one to panic, but this appears to be a worst case scenario, without a viable running game, the Packers offense will be much less effective. Although, I feel the team still has enough talent to contend for a play-off spot, I fear that a deep run in the play-offs is now out of the question.
hahahaha yea this is small potatoes next to losing Rodgers. Jackson is a good RB and will do us proud, pick up a 2nd or 3rd string just to put a little more depth there and everything will be fine. Ive always liked Kuhn and think he will take up the slack nicely as well. Dont worry we still are contendersDid you see Jackson run the ball last sunday???
He is as good as grant...
Worst case scenario is Rodgers out for year by the way.
I'm talking about the Packers having a shot at the number 1 seed and home field advantage throughout the play-offs, without Grant that isn't going to happen. Jackson is not as good a back as Grant. For those of you who've forgotten, Grant took the starting job away from Jackson back in 2007! Obviously losing Rodgers would be a catastrophic loss that would make the Pack a .500 squad.
I would love to see Kuhn get a BUNCH more carries now, I love the way he constantly drives his legs and grinds for extra yards. If I were in charge, Kuhn and Jackson would split carries this week, then go from there(either continue splitting, give one more carries, or made a deal if it does not work). It does sound strange, a FB becoming a featured back, but hey, if he runs well, then why not?
Kuhn is beast, but I think he should be in only short distance downs.
This is in no way a season dooming injury. Brandon Jackson has my full support, I was actually thinking during the preseason that he could have a great season if given more carries. Everyone will think that our running game is shot w/o Grant, but A-rod and the passing game are what our offense is known for and that may allow Jackson to sneak up on opponents. Anyways, this is nothing that our team can't overcome.
Best wishes for Ryan Grant's recovery
