The point being if sometimes you want something badly enough, it doesn't mean it is going to happen.
Sometimes when you make a bold prediction against the grain - you end up being very wrong. Indeed my opinion of the Seahawks has changed after handing our butts to us.

Nice of you to visit our thread AM. The Chargers played their starters the entire 1st half of our 2nd pre-season game. There was carnage. Thanks for stopping by.

I can take the majority opinion of my friends and no doubt there is a plastik element to all of this. The question is was this situation better?

Of course not and we all know that, but dont you think you are comparing apples to oranges Sandolf ? ;)
It was a totalitarian regime regime that abused sports for political purposes and people couldnt do anything against this.
Fortunately nowadays we can fight against businessmen abusing the football we love and we will do it as long their are trying to establish plastic teams like RB Leipzig or Hoffenheim. At least in the western part of Germany.
To a certain degree I understand the desperate wish of Eastern German football fans to have a own Bundesliga team but in my opinion the deal with the devil, named Red Bull, is the wrong way.

To be honest... yeah okay. I can't make the same argument in regard to Hoffenheim. But I do somehow enjoy the irony of the situation. First these Leipzig people have to be rescued from the clutches of evil socialism. Now they need to be rescued from the clutches of evil capitalism. :D

ps. I respect your opinions and resist spinning any gags about mad Austrians taking over the world. :whistling:

But I must admit they apparently dont want to be rescued. ;)
More than 30 k people attended their last home game agains Erzgebire (Wismut) Aue.

Thats wise because its a very serious and sensitive topic. :cautious:
We all know what happens when weird Austrians try to conquer the world....:ninja::D

Nessie, Game Week 4 is the earliest that Julian Green can make an appearance for Hamburg, which just happens to be against Bayern... lol.

What do you hear in Hamburg, is he going to start right away?

I dont think he will be a starter at the moment but there is a long season ahead of us. Lasogga is our No1 striker and Nicolai Müller our No2. I expect both to be our starters. But especially Lasogga is injury prone so Green will get his chance rather sooner than later. ;)

I just read that Klowdtv.com has reached an agreement with GolTV to stream Bundesliga games in HD legally in the U.S. for 5 bucks a month. I have GolTV on my cable so I don't need it. But for U.S. fans this might be a good option.

Yepp, thats true, already sold them. ;)
To be honest - the game against Bayern is the least interesting game of the season but in this case I sold them because of my holiday trip to UK :)
It took 5 Minutes and the tickets were gone.....

This is true Croak. But it's a 1 year deal only because GOLTV lost its contract with the Bundesliga. This is their last year, and Fox Sports will pick it up next year.

Klowd will be a good option for 1 year, because GOLTV only shows one game at a time, whereas, I can watch the Bundesliga game on GOLTV and stream 2 others on my laptops and watch 3 all at the same time.

This is good for Nutzoids like me. I think they are also making available the 2.Liga games for streaming as well. That way I can watch Energy Drink Team lose and be happy all day.

Yeah. I'm psyched about Fox Sports broadcasting the games!

Word on the street from insiders is that Fox Sports will also be doing FREE streaming from their website of all the Bundesliga games (in case the one they show on tv isn't the game you want to see).

NBC has been streaming the EPL for 2 years now (for free). I don't know if it's free beyond the USA, that I don't know to be honest, I can only speak of the USA broadcast.

Sure, they make money on advertising. Is advertising in Germany illegal? Give me Merkel's #, I think I can make some headway for you Germans. :D

Of course advertising is allowed Bundesbiers, I make my living by selling them ;)
But ads or commercials for drugs that need to be subscribed are illegal, only OTC drugs are allowed to be advertised.

I haven't tried to use the NBC stream but I'm pretty sure they will block it as soon as they detect a foreign IP. Thats how it German TV does it as well. I think you guys can't watch our Bundesliga show "Sportschau"or a German National Team game live.:cautious:
