Hey, opening a new can of worms, if MLF should get the boot, as I think he should, but doubt he will. What are your thoughts on Stefanic, recently fired by Cleveland.

Assuming, of course, Harbaugh is a no go. He seems like a pretty good coach, and he beat us, with a vastly inferior roster! Just spitballin here!

I know it probably means absolutely nothing, but I noticed in MLFs presser today he didn’t wear any team gear. Hopefully that’s indicative of things to come.

We had a running back, some years back, last name Lacy, didn't we? Eddie, maybe.
Yes. But he was not on the 2020 team that lost to Tampa. He played for McCarthy. He did play the Bucs when Lovie coached in Tampa and had a good day.

Wait a minute…I’m 32. Who is Dagwood Bumstead?
If you are about 95 or 100 or read the comics, Dagwood is the husband of Blondie. They have a son named Baby Dumpling, and a dog named Daisy. And then they added a daughter.
Circa 1938-48 there were a good number of Blondie movies based on the comic strip. Very entertaining. Dagwood was played by Arthur Lake and Blondie by Penny Singleton. It combined comedy with adventure.

Great.. now Im reliving the theme song...

In the days long ago when there was 1 TV, 3 channels and Dad's ruled the knob with an iron fist on Sundays, I grew up watching those shows. And Ma and Pa Kettle, Bowery Boys and whatever else was on Sunday mornings.

Who is Dagwood Bumstead? Lol, now I feel old. Supposedly Blondie is still syndicated as a comic strip, but who reads newspapers these days?

I've finally reached my very amateur opinion about MLF, I think he should go. Not because he's a bad coach or even because it's his fault really. It's just that this bad thing has happened, and it has to be removed as a part of the GB culture. 0-3 to end last season. 0-5 to end this season. 1-5 in his last six playoff games. Repeated examples of not finishing games, or seasons, especially this season. No one can watch that game on Saturday and tell me that the Packers had anywhere near the intensity or desire that the Bears put on display in the second half. They looked like a bunch of sheep being marched to their execution. There needs to be a complete change of culture and attitude here, and that starts with the coach.

A lot of good, clean comedy.

Thanks for the walk down Memory Lane.

If he stays, I hope it has stipulations that I think @tynimiller brought up; Deadlines for winning the division, advancing past the divisional round, etc.

Sure hope it isn't some 5 year contract. Although it does say 'try'. Still possible they are far apart where they part ways.

Hoping this is just kind of a prelude to them eventually saying they couldn’t work out a contract and had to part ways.

I’ll be honest, I’m pretty much done for now if they give him a big extension. I’ll still pay attention in a casual way like I follow Badger basketball. But I’m not going to go spend my money attending games, get my hopes up, just to go through another inevitable choke job next year. Nah. Just not worth getting that emotionally invested anymore.

I can't see getting too optimistic about the future, unfortunately. Seems we might be entering the mediocre years.

Same here. I won't take the Packers seriously again until MLF proves that his team can win big games and win a clutch victory rather than choke. That could be a long time, or maybe never.

If anyone has this stat, I would love to know it. Basically, the breakdown of the timeouts called by the Packers and the situation that they were called in. Maybe it is just selective muscle memory for me, but it seems like at least once or twice a game, the Packers burn a timeout to avoid a delay of game, a 5 yard penalty. Now sometimes, that doesn't come back to bite you (not having a timeout), but it sure would have been nice to have one in the back pocket on Saturday when Sean Rhyan went down and with no timeouts, it cost the Packers 10 seconds and at least one extra play to try and win the game.

Whether it is burning timeouts to avoid delay of games or Love having to rush a snap, too many times this season the communication between MLF and Love was way too slow. IF MLF is back and IF MLF won't give up play calling, this issue should be a high priority in 2026. Give your veteran QB plenty of time to look at the defense, audible out, shift players, etc.
