Watson, I assume? Maybe you have something there, maybe not.

Wisconsin had a grant to study that. NFL has a vested interest to help players with things like hamstring injuries so, easier for 1 place to assist in chronic issues rather 32 separate entities so a player going 'outside' to a place that the NFL is funding for assistance isn't really going outside. MLB/NFL players going to Dr. ElAttrache. NFL players utilize all sorts of 3rd parties for health, strength and training beyond in house options.

I agree with you, but I am willing to concede points when I don’t have a counter handy.

Imo. The pair of fumbles beat us. I think they get credit for that Jacobs fumble as they punched it. They’ve been doing that all year. They did it to Hurts on a Tush push. We just don’t take Their ability to create takeaways seriously. Just my opinion.

On the Teams fumble. If the ball is much as touches the sideline it’s game over. We didn’t learn this with Bostick either. Slap the ball towards sideline. Trying to recover it in bounds is dangerous imo. Knock it out if bounds who cares about losing -3 yards of field position. It’s all about acquiring possession, not style points. That ball could’ve been slapped out very easily and it’s Game over. Pretty bad when Ty Monthomery knows this but Rich doesn’t.

The only time you need to field the ball is if it’s nite than a few yards from sidelines. Center of field etc.
You can't knock it out of bounds intentionally. It's a 10 yd penalty, and a re-kick.

Dude, you don't need to yell, you already look silly with your content.

By your thinking, 31 coaches would be fired at the end of each NFL year.

BTW, Ed Policy wouldn't be the one to fire MLF, that would be Gute's job.

I get your frustration with the Packers not going 17-0 and winning a SB every season, but if the other 31 fan bases had your same viewpoint, the stadiums would be empty.

For those that want Gute to fire MLF, who should he replace him with? "Anyone better" is not a valid answer.

This whole "The Packers are wasting talent" argument that people use is hilarious.

I blame the whole situation on not having proper pad level. :coffee:
I dont yelled did not notice it was yelling, typical MLF ending getting out coached by the opposition, 7 seasons of the same excuses , MLF teams looks like they are never prepared for the big games and shows it
Looks to me you are satisfied with 7 seasons of coming close and not bring team over the top , MLF does not have what it takes to bring a SB back to Green bay
If youre satisfied thats is fine , your choice, but not mine , the writing is on the wall, MLF does not have it , period
If MLF gets repalced im sure they can find a great coach to replace him with , nobody that you or I know , we are not in the business of finding a head coach but Packer management are, why they get paid the big bucks
Policy can replace MLF by replacing Gute, most of the great coaches have won a super bowl by their 7 season , unlike MLF

Agreed. And if he were by some chance fired, he'd have a HC job inside of a week. The Packers FO, Gluten, and MLF will have their hands full replacing Hafley anyway.

I do agree with Sanguine, the Packers have traditionally held onto coaches way too long. MM should have been gone after the 2014 NFCCG collapse to the Hags. How did a guy like Joe Barry last so long at DC?

All that history aside, there is just no case to be made for whacking MLF after the season. A lot of very good coaches with very good teams haven't won a SB. Just ask Kyle Shanahan or Dan Campbell. They still have their jobs for a reason.
kyle Shanahan is superior to MLF in every aspect while Dan Campbell might be even , any of these 2 coaches with Packer talent would have won a Super Bowl by now

"Nobody" here is "Satisfied", we all want a Super Bowl victory. We just don't fall into the "sky is falling, fire MLF" crowd, after every loss. If he gets fired after the season, so be it, there is validation in that decision... if he doesn't, we will hear the same talking points for another year, with the only change being 8 years instead of 7.

Sure you will hear the same talking points in year 8, it all comes back to what i said MLF cant win the big games
Im nobody but I always question his decisions of been too aggressive all the time and when he fails he gives the momentum to the other team , there are such things as been aggressive some times but not all the time , it will back fire as it has to MLf lately

Well he gets crucified if he is Conservative, and he gets crucified when he is aggressive.... the only thing that is consistent is that he gets crucified whenever the play call doesn't work out. No coach is right every play, and when you come out on the wrong side of that, I tend to give some of the credit to the other team. I lived through the 70's when Run, Run, Pass, Punt, was the norm.

Both Kyle Shanahan and Dan Campbell took over absolute dumpster fires.

MLF has been around 2 years longer than Campbell.

Shanahan has been to 2 Super Bowls.

If MLF had been to even one Super Bowl, he’d be getting more slack.

To be clear, it’s a choke to lose, in overtime, on the road, against your division rival, missing:

1. Your best offensive lineman
2. Your best defensive lineman
3. Your starting quarterback

That is your position? How many teams in the league make those games even competitive?

I’m not asking you to like the outcome, losing sucks. Sometimes you just lose.
It’s definitely a choke to lose a 10 point lead in the last 5 minutes.

Yes, because in this particular game, they were without two of those stars for the whole game, the other for much of the game, and had been more than competitive, they were leading late.

And losing to an onside kick is really bad. What is the recovery % in the league this year?

So it’s a choke with

a back up qb play most of game
I know all you J. Love groupies can't see it yet, but, Willis was an upgrade at QB.

Willis has a wind cutting, tight spiral (helpful in GB).

Willis is more accurate.

Willis is better escaping the pass rush (helpful in avoiding injuries and concussions).

Willis is a much more dangerous runner.

QB rating for Willis last night = 142.8
QB rating for Love last night = 78.0

(Love had 13 attempts, Willis had 11, so, I think it's a fair comparison).

In two or three years you'll wish they had kept Willis and dealt Love.

I'd trade Love to LV, AZ, PIT or NYJ and give Willis a new 90-to-100 mil./3yr. deal as the new starter this offseason. If Gute and MLF don't like it they can get lost, too. Do it Policy!

Ah, right because MLF called the Jacobs-fumble-the-ball play. What a poor choice.

Ah, because Basicia told Doubs to dance around and not cover up the ball. Clearly a coaching decision.

Ah, MLF lost the game of a special teams coach that has been off the team for years.

Site a source that says otherwise. Or are you implying the 49ers, for example, have been impacted worse than we are.

Watson, I assume? Maybe you have something there, maybe not.

Ah, and MLF get zero credit for pivoting on the fly and putting Willis on position to succeed. Gotcha.
Excuses. Always excuses.

Hard to tell if you're serious (one post a month is not easy to evaluate), but if you are, can you add the cap hit to your discussion?

A big negative in Love's game imho, is that he often does not hit the really open receiver. It may have something to do with the way he surveys the field. Or not moving off of his main receiver on a play fast enough. I know he usually has good stats but...For instance, if the bomb is double covered; start looking elsewhere. But really, I am looking forward to the rest of the season.

I don't live on these boards true, but, what does any of that matter? I have been here 14 years if that counts for anything.

Anyway, I am serious as my posts from prior years will attest. Never been a Love fan from the beginning, hated the draft pick at the time. At times I've doubted my assessment of Love, he has had some good games. But, overall I don't think he's ever going to lead this team anywhere, no elite traits. To this day, six years in, he has yet to lead the team to a division title as a starter, yet around here people keep talking about Super Bowls. And spare me the hogwash about his first three years on the bench...he wasn't good enough to start anyway...meanwhile guys like Williams, Maye, Hurts, Purdy, Nix, etc. are getting the job done in their first three seasons.

Love's career will mimic Cousins, IMO. Some good regular season stats on and off, but, that's the ceiling.

At least Willis has some elite traits, beautiful mechanics, escapability, etc., as noted in my original post.

You can research the cap yourself if it matters to you, but, cutting Gary, Jenkins and other dead weight should make moving on from Love possible.

He'll be a very interesting player to watch in the future. I hope we don't need him now but if we do ...well, I hope he plays awesome.

That's an interesting comment I hadn't considered. But I disagree with the idea that another HC, in this case Shanahan or Campbell, would have won in GB with the same talent available to MLF. That's just way too subjective. Ask ten people and 5 will agree, 5 will disagree.

I think any talk of dumping MLF is incredulous. A lot of very good HCs never win a SB. It's just not that easy, and even great teams get injuries. Sound familiar?

I was watching the Steelers/Lions yesterday. It looked like a blowout win for the Steelers until the Lions offense came alive in the 2nd half. Secondary players Branch and Joseph are out for the season. Dan Campbell can't do anything about that.

Anyway Packers4ever thanks for the idea that the Packers would be winners with a different HC on the level of Campbell/Shanahan. I don't agree, but it's certainly a debatable point.
