I don't know why Newcastle can't win Derby's. Sunderlands goal was completely against the run of play. I'm also not sure playing a 4-2-4 for 20 minutes was a good idea.

I've heard the name Ezequiel Ponce before. Is he playing for the Argentine National team too?

He has not played with Argentine team in any of the matches, not even friendlies at this point. But with Tata Martini now the National Coach (after being at Barcelona) he may have great chance in future. Tata is former Newells player/coach and is familiar with Ponce as he coached him.

Quite a bit of football (soccer) talk here at the site, just found the threads.

I live in Argentina last 7 years, played football growing up in States. I follow a little of the European Leagues, but mostly stick to Champions League and Argentina 1st Division.

Live in Rosario, so my team here is Newells Old Boys... many of their inferior league players are over in Europe now playing.

Ponce is their latest player that is getting a lot of attention overseas, he is only 18 and if continues developing could be a very good one. He missed all of this closing tourney with fracture in his foot.

Welcome there is quite a few of on here now from a start of about three, we annoy some of the locals but they tolerate us some of the time they are nice like that. ;) Was a big fan of Batigol, the best modern striker i have seen.

Certainly entertaining Boxing Day games. Lots of action despite lots of rain/snow in the games.

You annoy some of the locals??? Just by having soccer threads? Strange.

Hmmmm....this draw isnt't enough for Chelsea, looks like City will win their game against Burnley. Now Newcastle against Everton, I love that the EPL hasn't a winter break. :)

What is Lamps doing there ? Not only am I a little afraid that it might damage his legacy at Chelsea at some point if he continues to play for a rival, also he seems to annoy the fans of his new team before he played a single game for them. Uncomfortable situation in my opinion.:cautious:

Yeah its up to him to do what he likes now, they will use him at Citeh until hes no longer needed thats the way of it. He will have a bit of explaining to their fans when he eventually moves to NY.:ninja:

And they are waiting for him in NYC, I've already seen his shirt in stores in December on my trip to NYC.;)

WOW, the Spurs and Harry Kane are taking it to Chelsea. Man City now in first place on goal differential.

---------------------

I guess theoretically its an exact tie on all tie-breakers for first place now.
