My Family home was only about a mile away from Anfield and maybe mile and a half from Goodison. As a kid when brother and I used to play football in the garden, we used to hear the crowd from Anfield and it was like having the crowd in the garden with us......lol Great days.
I assume when you live that close to two stadiums you must be a football fan or better move away ;)

We used to go to both grounds as kids to get in to see the last twenty minutes of the games free. In those days they used to just open the gates. Your visit has given me some great memories of things I`d forgotten.

Glad to hear that. I find it unusual that two stadiums of two big teams are that close to each other. We just walked down from Anfield to Goodison Park in about 10 Minutes, passing Stanley Park.

 At least you didn`t walk through Stanley Park. Even WE don`t walk through Stanley Park.

What's wrong with Stanley Park, looked quite nice from the outside. We even had a hot chocolate at Kemps Bistro on our way back from Goodison Park :cautious::D

It has a reputation...lol

Was that your first visit to the docks ? I was going to mention a fantastic café there for breakfasts.

Yes, first time to Liverpool and first time to the docks, we certainly will be back for another visit in the near future. What' s your recommendation for breakfast there? When speaking of the docks - the Liverpool Museum is absolutely fantastic. Outstanding. We enjoyed our time there. And its free, like so many other museums in UK too. How come? At home every museum demands an entrance fee.
Btw - of course we made a donation ;)

Our museums are getting more contribution based, but mostly they have always been free. The breakfast venue was a place called Ziferblat. A Russian idea apparently where you pay for the time you spend there, but everything foodwise is free, they only ask you wash up after you. Sounds strange, but a lovely environment.

Ha, we've seen that. It's a Russian idea? There is one in Manchester too. Think it was 8 pence a minute and we found it somehow odd from the outside. Perhaps we give it a try next time.

That's the company. It really was a pleasant surprise. I know what you mean though, very odd.

Entertaining match by Everton today! Bayern is on vacation, so it was nice to see the boys in bright yellow (?) play today. I kind of like the yellow kits.

We have the official who is known to use plenty of Cards at an Everton match. Yet, so far, Hull keeps trying to get calls and he isn't issuing them.

Spoke too soon. Now he is officiating true to form. Did some Everton player insult this guy's Ma somewhere in the past?

Any UK views on this Lookman kid? I kind of expected to see Everton make some splashier transfers after the owners promised a wide open checkbook, but this 19 year old is all I see so far.

Any sympathy for your old coach? ;)

Yeah. A little. I was thinking, "Bet he wishes he was at Bayern". ;)

But the commentators pointed out something. They said he is learning that having players who can make a lot of 10 yard passes, just won't cut it in the EPL. He needs more guys who are, I think the term was, "slashers".

Or Barca. :)
The Hollywood pass is such a rare thing in the Premiership, i think he's finding that out. And the level of players at his previous clubs he was somewhat spoiled.
