Coaching staff is complete

Green Bay -- The Packers' revamped coaching staff for 2009 is now complete, according to a source, after two moves were recently made: it has been determined that Mike Trgovac will be the lone defensive line coach, and Scott McCurley was promoted to defensive quality control.

McCurley, 28, spent the past two seasons as the coaching administrator after being the coaching administrative intern in '06.

In all, there were 11 changes to the coaching staff with seven new coaches being added to the staff from the outside. Three were promoted (Shawn Slocum, Joe Whitt Jr. and McCurley) and one (Winston Moss) had his duties altered.

Two new positions were created -- inside and outside linebackers coaches -- and two were combined into one (defensive ends and tackles to just defensive line).

The last time the Packers had just a defensive line coach was in 2004, when Jethro Franklin was in his last season after joining the staff in '00.

The new coaches will be introduced to the media at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
