So force the change. Linebackers play closer to the line of scrimmage like you said and backfield plays tighter. Hoping for mistakes is no way to play defense
I think Hafley is well aware of the fact that he has a week CB group and has been trying to protect them all year long. That worked when Parsons was playing and putting legit pressure on the QB, but without him, offenses are going to run it down our throats and average QB's will be able to pick the defense apart with patience and short throws.

Again, it is death by a thousand cuts or a few big ones. Personally, at this point, when you are facing better teams in the playoffs, I would go all in and move are DB's up for better run support. Blitz them more and take my chances on teams getting behind our defense and possibly completing a few long passes. Sure beats making your defense be out their for 3/4 of the game.

Die by a thousand cuts or a few? If our defense was better at taking the ball away, I would be fine with making opposing offenses earn every point. However, that is hard to do when they were giving up 5.6 yds a play. The time of possession in that 1st half was absolutely one sided and insane. When the game ended it was still insane. The Ravens had the ball for 40:16 and the Packers 19:16.

Teams have learned that they can be patient and pound the ball against the Packer defense. This results in tiring out the Packer defense and keeping their offense on the sidelines. It is hard to score when you don't have to ball and even harder to win games when the opponents offense has the ball for twice as long.
Our ability to hold into INTs is not even amateur.
