I wonder sometimes if players don't train too much on the edge. Some of their bodies are wound too tight. And I wonder if getting so close to that edge is necessary. Some of those weight training coaches are psycho imho
Perhaps, but the Packets have a systemic problem. No doubt the strength, conditioning and medical staff are part of the problem. Players are going outside the franchise for their medical help, especially with all the ridiculous non-contact injuries.

Another aspect is to avoid drafting injury prone players. Guys that are hurt too much in college don't get better in the NFL.

Finally, playing soft leads to injuries. If you're the guy standing or getting pushed around, the chances of somebody falling into an exposed joint goes up. How many times have we seen the Packers just get beat up and decimated with injuries, but the opossing team is fine.

Duds: All the flags which I predicted. Denver had some, too. But not as many.

They are in the gym too much, and have very little body fat....they need some body fat, just to help absorb the punishment. Many years ago, AJ Hawk in an interview, when asked how he had stayed relatively healthy throughout his career, said he does a little gym work every day, but limited it, I think he said an hour a day.

Watson literally tore his ACL in this current year. You don’t have to dream that hard to see Micah back in about a year.
A year puts him in the middle to the end of the 2026 season. Most players take until their second season to hit their stride. That was the case with Gary and Jenkins. I think Watson was an exception.
Let's face it, when the Packers get decimated by injuries, it not only wrecks the current season but also the next. It sure did with Bahktiari.

If we can somehow have Parsons back for the 2nd half of next season and hopefully a Playoff run, I will take it. I guess time will tell, but until we get official word confirming his exact injury, we are all just speculating.

Another major issue is paying Parsons 45 million a year to sit. That's a huge part of the salary cap flushed down the toilet when he's not playing. Like I said, an ACL will also wreck the 2026 season. You have guys not coming back until the season is well under way, no first round picks and much of the salary cap flushed down the toilet.

Let's be real, the team will likely also have plenty of injuries next season. The team isn't taking their injury epidemic seriously. There's a huge price to pay for sticking your head in the sand.

The only Studs I really saw were

Josh Jacobs.
Packers Run Defense actually held Denver to a very lethargic 2.9 per

Duds: Valentine and Nixon just got torched much of the evening. Too many mental errors

Duds:

Second Half Offense. The gameplan was odd. We rushed for 6+ per carry but tried to force it. It was obvious we were trying to protect our RB’s they only rushed a total of 20 times in a game we led until the 4th quarter.

This was the most lopsided Pass to Run I can remember. Easily considering we had success running the ball.

We score on the first 5 or 6 possessions and it went downhill after that. It does make some sense that the elevation might’ve factored. Also the crowd factored once Denver got back within 2 points.

Pass Defense was awful. We gave up season highs to Bo. Probably our worst Defensive game since Dallas.

Hawk was on the field more than most in h8s career.

One of the more frustrating games I’ve watched in a while. Went from looking like we could run away with it at the start of the second half to totally falling apart.

Biggest dud are injuries. The game was always going to be a tough one and I don’t think there’s shame in losing to a top team on the road. But if the injuries to Watson and Micah are serious, that could derail our postseason chances.

no Studs or Duds for me this week. Just some thoughts.
I feel the packers played their typical game. Offense hit their standard number of 25-30 ppg.
Looked like our Defense couldnt stop the broncos in the 2nd half but eventually they did come up with a number of stops that gave us a chance but we just had one of those games where we had some unlucky breaks. Thst 2nd INT was a tip and the ball goes into the defenders hands. Nothing you can do about that. Losing watson and parsons in the same game, cant get more unlucky than that. Even with all this and all the penalties that killed us we were still in the game till the end. That says something about the quality of this team.
Overall if we had to swallow a 4th loss this was the best time to do it. It was a non division game.
Now we have time to revaluate what we have going forward and come up with the proper game plan. We have 2 division games left so the ball in in our court to win the division. I like where we are at .

Watson should use his body to shield that ball. Slow down and reach for the ball more. But that is easier said than done.

2nd game in a row where Parsons had to run around Gary to try to get to the QB.

Studs
Love. He was carving up the best defense in all of football. We scored on the first 5 possessions. That was impressive.

Jacobs. That was an amazing TD catch. Thought it was a wasted play but he somehow came down with it.

Duds
Had some stops early but gave up too much as the game went on. Pass rush was just not there. Gary is about done.

I struggle to type this because I love Gary, his heart and the leader he has become...but we are at a point where if you watch him only one of two things are true:

#1 - we are witnessing the cliff of ability unfold right before our eyes...and he just isn't the high level player he once was. Solid player, NFL caliber guy but at the point where he needs to be a rotational piece to be of best value...

#2 - he is playing through issues/injuries.

His legs just look way too slow for there to be a third option. I LOVE Gary, and if his heart can make plays for us with Parsons out I guarantee you it will...but folks that body ain't right - either naturally or due to injury.

My duds are Hafley. Bend, bend, bend, bend until they score TD. And LaFleur for... I'm not sure for what.
2nd most points the Bronco's scored all year. Only team they scored more on was the Dallas Cowboys...and we know what kind of defense they have!

Wasn't able to watch the game, but these are my impressions:

Studs
Josh Jacobs
Bo Nix

Duds
D Backs
Red Zone Offense - a problem earlier in the season, raised its ugly head again
O Line Pass Protection - Love had the highest amount of pressures of his career

It's hard to think of a more disastrous game.

Agree. I can live with a road loss. Season-ending injuries to Parsons and Watson? Not so much.

Even so, there is plenty of talent on this team. They have to dig deep now. So do us fans.

Does R.Walker have hearing or sight problems? Something needs attention to. No reason for him to keep having all these penalties especially now with all the injuries. Need a clean game to have a chance.

That's a deep subject. :whistling:

Duds: Injuries. Did Tom come back in? I didn't see it.
E. Wilson didn't look "normal." I think he was still in his illness fog.
Uninjured WRs not named Golden. Was Doubs on the field much?
Time for Morgan to replace Walker at LT to see what we got. At least for a few drives.
Has Musgrave ever caught a pass and didn't fall down almost immediately?
Does MLF have any passes in the playbook that don't take the receiver out of bounds within a few steps?
Studs: 1st half Love. 215 yards? Jacobs. Edge Cooper.
I don't think Tom came back yesterday, but read this morning it is not serious.

And that's fine considering all the guys already on IR, and the guys added yesterday. There is no cause for surrender. There is also little room for error.

Love is playing extremely well (OK, except for the 2H yesterday). Reed will be the #1 WR (if there really is one), and it's time to see what Golden can do. He's every bit as fast as Watson and catches everything. Time for MLF to create a game plan featuring Reed and Golden.

I will push back on the "every bit as fast" part. Watson moves and breaks in full pads better than anyone we have. Yes, put them both in a controlled environment, shorts and such and Golden might win some races...but Watson is a different breed of a WR - especially right now compared to Golden.

Golden had a very good game in Denver honestly and I expect we see his continued growth spurred on somewhat by the absences of now not just Kraft but Watson as well possibly for a time.
