Well in a vacuum, I definitely think signing a player for market value beats signing the same player for the same market value plus high end draft capital. You could argue that Parsons waw more expensive than Love — 47M APY plus two 1sts plus Clark versus 55M APY for a late 1st.I don't think it's a better move necessarily.
I think Baltimore's window is 1-2 years ( Henry)
Crosby is the better player, and the much less risk.
If Baltimore trades their 1st for a AJ Brown, then it's a good move.
However, if they keep their 1sts? Give me Crosby over Hendrickson and the 1st rounders.
But I agree with what you’re saying, the quality of player matters, too.
This looks like a deal that the Ravens will be very happy with for a year, maybe two, and they already know it’s going to hurt after that.
I actually thought he’d get more, though. Kind of wild to think Alec Pierce got more than Trey Hendrickson.
