Skyy Moore. Kick and punt returner. About time we got a dedicated guy.

Moore averaged 27.5 yards per kick return and 11.6 yards per punt return in San Francisco

If you ask some here that average return is terrible…..(eye roll)

Doubs will sign a 4yr/$70mil deal ($17.5mil/yr) with New England. OTC is currently projecting '27 Comp picks of 4th Rnd for Willis & Doubs, 5th Rnd for Quay, and yet to be determined (3rd or 4th) for Rasheed Walker when he signs.

Doubs should do well in NE, good for him... bad for everyone else.
If the comp picks are devalued to that degree, then Gute shouldn't worry as much about signing free agents. The difference in value between a late 3rd and late 4th is huge. While a late 5th is better than nothing, trying to protect that pick shouldn't come at the expense of filling a 2026 hole in the roster with a free agent signing in that pay range.

If you only go by averages; you don't really need to watch anything. This guy I think is shifty and maybe changes field position sometimes. Also he's probably a better receiver than Melton. Seems like it could be a good pickup.

Negative ghost rider. He is however a very good manufactured touch guy....be interesting if Savion grows as a receiver if we see Skyy used at all for end arounds and screen bubbles.

Evidently we are his last chance. I didn't look him up. I was just going by what I remembered about the draft he was in. If he can't learn to hang onto the ball; I doubt he makes it through preseason.

Baltimore has “backed out” of the Maxx Crosby deal. Kind of a terrible look.
He failed his physical, which was probably a given after his injury. My guess is they must have found something they really didn't like.

Not a terrible look, IMO, if they indeed found something really bad. All these deals aren't set in stone until tomorrow, when the official start of the new league year starts at 4pm.

Really? You're going there?

Skyy Moore's 2025 Return Stats (SF 49ers)
  • Kick Returns: 33 returns for 907 yards (27.5 avg), Long: 98 yards
  • Punt Returns: 25 returns for 291 yards (11.6 avg), Long: 66 yards
  • Total Return Yards: 1,198
  • Impact: Finished 2025 ranked sixth in kickoff-return average and ninth in punt-return average.
Who would call that terrible?

It will be nice to have a dedicated punt and KR, as well as one who is a threat to take it to the house on every return.

That's MR. Ghost Rider
Top Gun was on the other morning, and I was still feeling the beer from playing cards (500) with the guys the previous night. I heard the old "Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full" line and went down the internet rabbit hole trying to figure that out. His call sign is Maverick. Should they have called him Maverick? I also noticed that in the first scene at the Top Gun academy, when Tom Skerritt is giving his speech, the term Ghost Rider is written on the blackboard/whiteboard in the background with pilot/rio tandems listed below.

Apparently Ghost Rider was the name of the flight group. So technically there would have been a Ghost Rider 1, Ghost Rider 2, Ghost Rider 3, etc. The tower was referring to Maverick/Goose as being part of the Ghost Rider group.

I also learned about what a "4G negative pushover" is, and how that's not really what the maneuver is called in real flight. It's technically a "negative 4G" (so 4 times the force of gravity going to your head) dive, which is sometimes called a pushover.

...okay, back to your regularly scheduled programming...

He barely averages more than Savion as a rookie....I think they both in their own right are solid, actually love the idea of those being the two deep personally.

Based off the real VF-142 "Ghostriders"

Must be from Skyy being .07 seconds faster in the 40. :whistling:

Maybe Savion can concentrate on offense now and have a solid 2nd season. ;)

The Skyy is the limit now!

Wonder how much the Crosby thing impacts Packers. Cowboys could pull back from Gary trade and Raiders could pull back on Q. Walker signing possibly given Crosby back on books (although think they had a ton of cap room). Ravens didnt make any friends... not to mention they lost a ton of guys now too.

It for sure could start a trickle effect...

The Raiders have spent a crap ton and now have Crosby.....they I think will have to peel off stuff.....BUT this could leverage a crosby trade for less to someone else potentially too now knowing they must reload.

Obviously none of us can know for sure but I think the Ravens just got cold feet. Everyone knew Crosby had meniscus surgery.

It will be interesting if any additional info about this, leaks in the upcoming weeks/months. Stay tuned

Ravens just signed Trey Hendrickson, so they still got their pass rusher and kept their draft capital.

Pending physical, of course. ;)
I don't think it's a better move necessarily.

I think Baltimore's window is 1-2 years ( Henry)

Crosby is the better player, and the much less risk.

If Baltimore trades their 1st for a AJ Brown, then it's a good move.

However, if they keep their 1sts? Give me Crosby over Hendrickson and the 1st rounders.

His punt return average is well above anybody on the Packers. That his kickoff return average is about 2 yards better than Williams is just an added bonus.

The Packers finally have a kick returner. He finished in the top ten in the league in both punts and kickoffs.

I was more tongue in cheek poking Poker with my comments than anything. He will be our returner for sure.
