That would be crazy, since a vet QB would need to get up to speed with the players, coaches and most importantly, the playbook.

I don't see Malik going anywhere, unless at the trade deadline the Packers are close to being eliminated and having a dismal year.

He has been on the team for a season already. Has practiced extensively with the LS and holder. That can account for a lot when it comes to the Kickers accuracy IMO.

You didn't say. Have you seen him? Sometimes coaches take too long time to admit a mistake. Like that Norwegian? kid. And I have a suspicion that Bisiachia is not a good teacher for field goal kickers. I wouldn't want him just because he's a free spot. And actually I would prefer having a kicker that can kick well to one that has practiced with the holder but doesn't kick well.

Clayton Tune might be a nothing burger signing, but more importantly and actually very disappointing to me is this. Gute kept Clifford and Elgersma through cut downs and neither of them seemed to be in the plans by the end. Yes, maybe Gute didn't know for sure, but that was a ton of wasted practice and preseason time on 2 QB's that ended up being throw aways (at this point). I give the handling of the #3 QB an F. Also factoring in this for me, knowing you are going to lose your #2 QB at the end of the season, this was the perfect time to get your new 2026 #2 ready.

I wonder what happened to that other young QB that was better than Clifford but we didn't protect him and he went to Miami I think. Is he still around? I'm not saying to get him (though I did think he looked pretty good), I'm just curious if he's still on somebody's roster

My mistake, he hasn't been on the team for a season, that was Hale that I was thinking of.


I saw him kickoff several times and he made a 43 yarder against the Colts. I have to assume that he is the best option for a backup kicker, as of today. He is a free spot and heck, he even said that he would play for the Packer for Free.

If he looked terrible in practice, he would be gone already. Like I said, the chemistry with the LS and holder is important.

I had the honor of watching Tune air the ball out a couple of times last year, and a few before his last year. The guy can flat out throw a football with the best of them. He threw for 40 TDs last year and was close to a 67% completion average and only 10 INTs I think it was. He can thread a needle with the ball either in the pocket or on the move. I wouldn't doubt for a moment that this is a guy the Packers will be looking at to possibly move up into the #2 position so they could get some value out of trading Willis.

I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I do see the logic behind it. He did not get the kind of coaching he needed with the Arizona Cardinals, but he will in Green Bay. To be honest, I've never figured out why he isn't on someone's 53.

Good signings! Getting Mosby, Welch and Alexandre back are big to me. I think those are 2 great depth guys (Mosby/Welch) and Alexandre looked good during preseason.

Special teams coaches often mess with punters' steps and drop height etc. for instance. And I'm sure they mess with field goal kickers and snappers and holders as well. I'm glad Bisaglia didn't have a chance to mess with our field goal kicker.

Interesting when I look at quite a few Packer reporters Twitter posts, they all are missing the signings of:

Possibly because these are waived players from other teams, the Packers aren't reporting them as PS signings until they pass a physical?

This is what I have seen and if correct, means that the Packers have 2 spots still open on their 17 player PS.

Yes. There’s definitely a theme to our OL. In 2025 we’re going Bigger and leaning guys that are Great Run Blockers. I suppose you could say extend that trend to include the entire Offense RB, TE, WR also.

Size AVERAGE on the 2025 Roster (including PUP/IR)

TE’s is 6’5.5” X252lb. (4 players)
RB is 5’10.5” X222lb. (4 players)
WR is 6’1.6” X204.5lb. (7 players)
OL is 6’5.4” X319lb. (12 players)
*includes Glover on season ending IR but switch out Dalton and it’s basically identical.

I’m going to hazard a guess here and I’m pretty confident on this statement.
2025 is the Biggest Offensive Roster assembled by the GB Packers across its rich history.
