Cue the inevitable "stars shouldn't play" and "preseason is too long" crowds in 3. . . . 2 . . .

I personally believe preseason should be maybe 2 games and stars like rodgers should never see the field in fear of getting hurt........

In all seriousness though refer to all of my previous posts I am one of the biggest advocates of seeing rodgers on the field getting in tune with the receivers.

I think most of the starters would be fine without playing in preseason games at all. It's awfully tough for Rodgers and his receivers to get in tune as defenses mostly play vanilla schemes.

The games are important for guys fighting for a roster spot though and that's what these games should be all about. I hate losing a starter like Nelson last year for an entire season in a meaningless game.

I'm thinking I may try to go to the Cleveland game.
Should be my kind of weather and Cleveland is a team I have never seen play live.
