Menominee was a fairly close-knit community for a long time. My family was French-Canadian and English Canadian settling there in the 1800s. That's my family heritage on my dad's side. I remember, as a child, when we'd visit, we'd go to the French Catholic Church for Mass on Sundays. Who knows? You and I might be shirt-tail relatives. A lot of the families are related to each other there, still today.
Maybe. I don't have any French in me though, that I'm aware of, despite my fascination with French pop.
I am a quarter Belgian, however.

Ah.....! You're related to Hercule Poirot? My favorite detective.
As far as I know, I'm not related to any fictional characters that I'm aware of - neither Hercule Poirot nor Ross Perot, for that matter.
Anyway, my family had already settled into Wisconsin and the UP by the time Poirot's books came out.

My Mom once told me that I was "A son of a b*tch. I don't think that she truly understood the irony of her proclamation! :coffee:

Un petit.
Sometimes I ask Google AI a question about something French, and it gives me an answer in French. So I type in "En angalis, s'il vous plait", and it gives me the answer in English. I don't know why I get a kick out of that, but I do.
