TO Fires His Publicist
T.O. reportedly fires his publicist
NFL.com wire reports
IRVING, Texas (Jan. 10, 2007) -- Terrell Owens apparently had his reasons for firing his publicist.
Owens has fired Kim Etheredge, his publicist since 2005, according to several media reports this week.
Etheredge was the person who called 911 from Owens' home on Sept. 26 to report that the Cowboys receiver was having an allergic reaction to an accidental overdose of pain medication.
The next day, after T.O. spent the night at the hospital, Etheredge denied rumors that Owens attempted suicide, saying, "Terrell has 25 million reasons why he should be alive." That was a reference to the $25 million, three-year contract Owens got from Dallas last March.
Owens and Etheredge, a former TV production coordinator, first met when he played in San Francisco.
** Probably the biggest favor TO could have done for her. Being his publicist has to be one of the toughest jobs in sports -- kinda like being the White House Press Secretary.
