Stuff I've heard, read that I thought would be nice to consolidate into one thread. If you guys have more interesting facts put them in this thread. No predictions or team talk. Just interesting FACTS about this current SB not past SB. Just facts regarding this one. As I hear more I'll update.

So far I heard this on Dallas radio. I don't claim these to be true, just what the radio guys are saying.

- Most number of volunteers ever for a SB
- Highest ticket demand ever for a SB
- Ticket prices $2500 to $22,000 per seat on Stub Hub which makes the tickets the most expensive ever for a SB.
- Going to have the largest attendance in SB history
- FBI taking air samples for a baseline in case of attack
- Fighter jets will be on patrol
- Jerry Jones is trying to make this the best SB ever.
- The Roof will be closed for the game.
- As the home team in the Super Bowl (it rotates every year), the Packers get to pick which jerseys they wear. They'll be in green, and the Steelers will be in their whites.
- There are going to be 45 events around Dallas the next two weeks during the SB
- Downtown the NFL has setup the NFL experience.

This is the 10th different NFC team to represent our conference in the Super Bowl in the past 10 years. That's a different team every year for you Math majors out there.

Only 3 of those teams won, the Buccaneers following the '02 season, the Giants (god damnit) following the '07 season, and as most of you remember, the Saints following last season.

Let's change history and be the first NFC team to get there twice in the past decade, shall we?

thats just scary. Looking at those teams going into the SB you would think they all had the talent to easily return.

The Scary thing is how in the last 8 years, only 3 AFC teams have gotten to the SB. Steelers, Patriots and Colts. That's it!!!!

:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

Only 3 AFC teams have made it to the Super Bowl in the last 8 years?

Who was the opponent the NFC team played the other 5 years?

yeah it's denitely two different stories in the two conferences. In the last 20 years... 14 of the 16 NFC teams have made it (Lions and Vikes haven't) while only 9 of the AFC teams have.

In the last 10 SB's (including this year) the only team other than the Pats (4 times), Pitt (3 times), and Indy (twice) to make it was Oakland in 03. In contrast, the NFC has had a different Rep all 10 years.

Sorry I know they're not stats about this year's SB. Here... marks another year that the Vikes get to join the lions as the only NFC teams without making it in "recent" histroy.

Well since it is in what could be the largest NFL stadium which is owned by probably the most greedy owner these really aren't all that surprising.

Does the 22k cover just a seat, like 50 yd line or is that for a luxury box?
If it's just for a reg. seat, why bother? That's ridiculous.
Who can afford these prices?
I can think of better investments.

And how is JJ going to make this the "best SB ever?'
Include live wild animals to go after the QB?
Strippers every time a TD is made?
Free beer for the fans?
Laser light show?

It's the winning team that will make it the best ever for their fans.
Not some rich old white greedy guy.

It will be the best for JJ.
He will be the real winner getting tons of money even though his team lost.

I met with a guy here in Dallas. He said he has a cousin that knows a guy who knows a guy who was a transplant specialist from Tajikistan and that they'll pay me $40,000 for my kidney. I figure it's pretty legit so I'm gonna meet them tonight around midnight in this warehouse district in Garland. I think this will work out just fine.....

Well, got the surgery done. They said the check is in the mail and gave me a bottle of Tylenol for the pain. Just waiting for the cash now. Whoo Hooo SB here I come!

Backs a little sore..you know..if I breathe or anything it's kind of excruciatingly painful. They said to make sure I keep the artifical kidneys they put in well oiled and change em out ever 4,000 miles. Not sure what they meant but I'll worry about it later.

I got a call from a guy in Nigeria who said that I had a long lost relative Gazillionaire who left me a gazillion dollars. They said to get the money released they need $40,000. I figured since I have the money coming from the transplant, I just took the money out of my account and wired it over there. I'M GONNA BE RICH FELLAS!!! Whoo Hoo.
