Look...I'm so mad about the Browns loss that I have not even shared my full thoughts on the game yet...BUT dear Lord I'm just sick of the absolute idiots that claim to be part of our fanbase which are overreacting due to this one loss. I swear if I could I would expel so many from our fanbase for their idiocy takes and knee jerk reactions.

That said, let's look for a moment back at the last DECADE of Super Bowl winners and what they might say about predicting a season is over and doom is here mentality after a loss...

These are their "worst" losses not all their losses:

Eagles lose to a Falcons team which was very much middle of the road type of a team. They gave up the 10th most offensive yards against them in the entire league...10th most points given up...the Browns we just loss to literally have one of the best defenses in the entire league and if they get their offense playing well they will likely be in the wildcard hunt for sure.

Chiefs...they lost to the Raiders (8-9 team) and a Broncos team (8-9) again both really meddling in the middle barely....

Chiefs...they lost to the terrible Colts (4-12-1)...

Rams - Did not lose to any team with losing record on the season.

Tampa Bay, lost to the Bears...

Chiefs - Lost to Colts (7-9)

Patriots - Lost to the Jags (5-11), Lions (6-10) and the Dolphins (7-9)

Eagles - Did not lost to any team with losing record on the season.

Patriots - Loss to the Bills (7-9)

Broncos - Lost to Colts (8-8), Raiders (7-9)

I'm hoping I did this correct in my rush....apologies if I messed up.

BUT the thing is it has been insanely RARE that a SB champ avoids one or more losses to the middle or bottom of the league.

That’s why it’s really important to temper our expectations until we have an adequate sample size. IMO that’s after 6-8 weeks area.
Once we put 6,7,8 games behind us we should see our true identity surface.

I still think we played a tough D and we partly played undisciplined and hurt ourselves. I’m not talking about the INT we could’ve won the game even with that mistake. Those happen. I’m talking pre snap penalties and poor clock management. Simple stuff that seems like a minor error until it’s not. This should’ve been a Win, we allowed Cleveland to eek back into this game and I credit them also, they didn’t give up.

Yet let’s be real. GB beats them an easy 7-8 of 10 Road visits. Cleveland squeaked one out but it was decided by seconds. After that I can say GB is better than Cleveland but they didn’t execute to standard.

I was half being facetious when i said it yesterday, but there's also some truth to the notion that it's better to get that kind of clunker out of the way in September rather than January...

Emotion is one thing, but I never understand letting emotion completely override logic. To declare the season over, the offense is done, nothing can be correctable is just pure emotion talking. Guess it is a way to hedge being 'right'. If the Packers don't go to the Super Bowl (or X goal) then its "See how right I was!". If you were wrong then it's "Am I glad I was wrong!"

If you think it is a lost cause then just give up and save your time. I'm at that point with Badgers FB. Oh sure, I'll put it on in the background, but tying any more energy to it beyond that nah...

Although possible (probable) that a segment of these people are just trolls or people that love to be miserable because you only see them on a Packers loss.

Very true. But we are not a SB champ. Nor are we 10-2 in the standings in which a tough defeat is hardly impactful. And the team to which we gave this victory, for all practical purposes, was 0-8 with an aging immobile QB. If we lost this game to either of our first 2 opponents or to the one we face this week it would be considered very understandable. Not yesterday. Even a team with a good defense that has a putrid offense can be beaten with FGs if you cannot get into the end zone. But we could not even do that. Be interesting to hear the home fan reaction to any of those losses you documented.

Your making my point....**** happens to almost every SB team. Doomsayers are just being crazy. I'm not saying we are SB champs, but to pretend like this is the end of a run is lunacy.

Oh trust me the one I do remember is KC when they lost to the Colts in week three after starting 2 and 0. Couple of my idiot KC fan friends were going to town online about how mishandled the team was and things needed to changed and this player should have been signed and this one shouldn't have and all this jazz....it kinda aligns with my signature...truth is most on this forum I'd argue are in the 10% I embrace....the other 90% well - they're idiots LOL

I will say that there are several opponents per season that just match up well. In this one the Cleveland front 4 was already better than the Packer OL. Yet imo the strength of the Browns was compounded by The Packers playing musical chairs at OL. I’ve been saying this for 2 weeks. Our Run blocking has not been very good. Also some of our Offensive production was a benefactor of great Defense. Josh Jacobs has been working for every tough yard. Today it caught up with us Sunday.

Imo we have not truly lined up our best 5 and I’m talking healthy. Until Banks and Tom get healthy it’s going to be sporadic play. I do fully expect the OL to gel once they’ve played more together. For now on Offense, we need our D to continue stepping up in the meantime. I think Watson coming back will be 1 key component and getting Tom healthy is paramount. I’m sitting him for Dallas. That gives him 2 weeks of rest (Bye) and another 3rd week of light practice. My guess is 3 weeks and he’ll be fine. 10 days wasn’t enough.

Once Tom is back? It’s also likely Watson enters the frame the following week. Plus getting a string of film helps patch deficiencies.

And the irony was that 3 weeks ago all the dialog was that we are so deep on our OL. We even picked up Kinnard. The talk was who do we resign and who should we trade. They forget history. It makes me realize how lucky we were to have a healthy Bahktiari for those years. And Rodgers knows that.

yes. However I think we underestimated timing. It’ll take 4-6 weeks to get some continuity
