Ethan Wolf ran a 4.98... that is slower than a lot of O-lineman.

Which is why I said later rounds. I would risk a 6th round pick on this guy. He isn't fast like alot of the TightEnds but he does well blocking and has nice hands in traffic.

I would also add Antonio Callaway to that list if we get a receiver with size early.

I prefer Sutton and Callaway to Lazard and Ridley.

Certainly I also prefer Sutton to Lazard, but I'd rather have Lazard on day 3 than Sutton at #14 (where I assume we'd have to take him).

I just dont get it. People have been screaming and crying for years to get "more atheletic" and the Sutton/Callaway Combo would do just that and these arent just guys to gawk at during the underwear Olympics. They both have tape and production at the college level to back it up.

You’ve made a basic assumption of how I feel about any and all prospects based on how I view athleticism in regards to edge rushers.

Also, I have not been screaming and crying about getting more athletic for years. That would be silly. The Packers have prioritized pure athleticism in the draft about as much as any team in the league.

I guess and I see your point, but to me it's still draft value. It's the difference between hitting a pick like Antonio Brown or getting a practice squad player. I know that's extremely unlikely, but ya.

I don't see Sutton making it past #19 Dallas. Ateman will be a round 2 WR and has the talent to be a solid #2 within a few years. Anthony Miller I have going late 1st and being a stud. I do think we would draft Cobbs or Lazard in middle rounds if we go WR there. If you watch Berrios run routes you see how dedicated he is to get open.

I don't see Sutton even making it too Dallas. .

I understand that. I believe if FItzpatrick, James and Ward are off the board that Sutton will be the pick and that's only if they think Ward is the second coming of Sam Shields due to only being 5'11.

Clearly Sutton is more talented than Lazard. I’m not saying otherwise. But the former will probably have to be taken at #14, where I like other players better. The latter is a day Three guy. The investment required is obviously much different.

I’m not so sure about Callaway being more talented than Ridley. But he obviously comes with other baggage and I have no idea how the FO would feel about drafting him. I’m guessing they won’t. Thus I’ve spent little time on him.

Oooo. Can we bet on this? I'm willing to bet that even if Landry, Fitz, James, Ward, Davenport, Smith, and Edmunds are off the board they don't touch Sutton in the first. If you're interested, name your stakes.

I'm not making anymore bets but my dream scenario for first 3 rounds goes like this. This would get it done and tons of more picks to address OL, LB, TE and could still get Callaway too.

1st Courtland Sutton WR, enough said

2nd Carlton Davis CB, Everything you want in a press corner. "coach him up"

3rd Jeff Holland EDGE. Might be this years "Carl Lawson"

None taken. Everybody has different opinions. Thats one reason I love this site. You post your opinion and hear others. I have him 6th or 7th but of course I wouldn't be shocked if he went undrafted. I still think he will be a good tightend.

Rodgers has had one of the best receiving corps in the league for a long time and the three starters were all taken in the 2nd round.

I'm not convinced this to be true especially if you include the tight end position as well.

I love love love Mike Hughes, and I think if he's there in the 2nd you have to trade up for him.

Hughes might present an upgrade over Davis as a returner as well.

It might make sense for the Packers to add a tight end excelling at blocking but with Graham and Kendricks on the roster definitely don't need to use a player like Wolf as a receiver.

He is closer to 6'2. The guy has "get off" and burst to the QB. He is really good on backside pursuit angles and can close on gaps. He is a guy you can put in on passing downs to help get to the QB. I think he is a steal in 3rd-4th round.

Similar to Ridley being a steal in round 3-4.

Im gonna tell ya another thing. Other then Landry(who is kind of a finese player which is fine) there is no other edge with a 1st round grade as far as i'm concerned. If Sutton isn't a first round grade then hell no is Marcus Davenport a 1st round grade. He played at UTSA and didnt even take over one single game. Dude is soft and he is the typical case of great athelete with little instincts and production.

I like Jackson. I just think Carlton Davis is gonna be better in the NFL and he is cut from the cloth of what you look for in a press corner. Davis is super aggressive and is a great tackler. He is very opportunistic in creating turnovers both by stripping ball loose and picks. I think he will be a better all around player then King and we can probably get him in second.
