If by some miracle we got my favorite prospect in the draft, Minkah Fitzpatrick.. what position would you have him play? In my opinion I would have him be our free safety and move Haha over to replace Burnett. That’s where I think his potential is highest, not at corner even though he’d make a fine corner as well either in the slot or outside.

At least as a rookie, I’d have him play his best position which is slot corner.

For me, it's Ridley, Moore, Sutton, and then a drop off. Ridley is a pretty defined #1 for me, and Sutton/Moore I like similarly, it just depends on what you want in your offense.

I'm admittedly probably too high on Hamilton, but I think he has a high floor. Pettis I have ranked high because of his polish and ST's value.

I will admit that I could easily put Sutton and ESB ahead of those two, but not ahead of Miller. I will also add that I think Sutton and ESB are the only WR's with the potential to become WR1's because of their size/speed/coordination, but it is quite a projection because they are coming out rough.

Arden Key is 240 lbs, ran a 4.85 40 at his pro day, and has major off field issues.

Imma pass on that guy.

Im not sold on any of our running backs... YET! They need to be able to stay healthy. We can say "hey we are solid on RB" but by the looks of it thus far.. All three of them can be put on IR next season.
Last time we had an actual RB was Lacy's rookie year and sophomore year. I want that Ryan Grant/Ahmad Green (minus the fumble LOL) player. I say we throw a wrench and draft a RB in rounds 3-6. I feel bad enough missing out on David Johnson. I love watching "unknown" RBs like Arian Foster light it up. As a ex-RB I enjoy finding these type of gem RBs. Theres always a RB in each draft class that will miss and one that will hit. I'll post up some RB prospects soon.

Isaiah Oliver- corner out of Colorado is on the rise. Cool fact, his father also played CB for the packers in '93. Won't be surprised if hes a stud at the next level.

I'd go Ridley, Sutton, Moore, Miller.
My son played with Anthony Miller in high school, he is a good kid and very hard working.......we already have him in Adams, and even Cobb would be a good comparison........therefor I'd say some of the other guys fit better for us, but I think Miller is a Steve Smith clone........that's a lot to say at this point though. He is small and injury prone though.
I'm interested in the Notre Dame kid for size and speed, can he handle being a Rogers guy? That seems to be a big question, who can handle the #12 perfection routes and so on?

For me, and especially in this offense, I prefer Ridley's ability to create and maintain separation as a translatable trait. I also like that he could stretch the field vertically.

However, I do understand that Sutton is strong in 50/50 situations and is bigger and more athletically gifted. I think it comes down to what you want in a WR.

Neither are strong considerations for me at #14, though if I had to sign off on one or the other it would be Ridley.

This is a hypothetical that is pretty dang unlikely, but somewhat in the realm of possibilities.

If we take a non-CB or WR in the first round, say Edge, S, LB, OL, doesn't matter, and Calvin Ridley and Mike Hughes are available in the 2nd, who do you take?

My answer to that is largely dependent on whether we sign Matthews or Breeland. But assuming we sign both or neither, I would take Ridley.

Ridley for sure. IMO there is josh Jackson and Denzel Ward, then a whole slew of CB’s that could go in the 2nd-4th rounds that are all about on par with each other. I am not a fan of Mike Hughes going before the third round. His cover skills are 5th-6th round potential, but gets 2nd-3rd round chatter due to his return skills. We do need a punt returner, but since I have little faith in his ability to cover NFL WR’s he is a major pass for me in the second round. We need a cover corner that can make a stop and force the opponent to punt before we need a guy that can return the football. He reminds me of Cyrus Jones, who went in the second round and amounted to neither a cover corner or successful punt returner. Especially if somehow Ridley is still on the board.

Man, that's not my read on Hughes at all. 5th/6th round cover skills? Not in my book. He can press and has the fluidity to mirror down the field. He's a really good corner.

People forget that Central Florida was undefeated, yes it was a weaker conferance, but smoked Auburn in the bowl. They had some really good players. I like Hughes.

If Hughes is as good and promising as Shaq Griffin is for the Seahawks i'd be down for that.

He really stifled Sutton when they played SMU. Anthony Miller gave him a lot of problems.

It'd be crazy if that UCF team turned out to be filled with future NFL stars like the Hurricanes 2001 team
