Last year, Thompson traded away Tony Moll for Derrick Martin just before final cuts were made. Moll would not have made the team and Martin turned out to have some value for the Packers. What does it look like this year?

Guys who probably have some value and may not make the 53 man roster:
Jason Spitz or Daryn Colledge
Spencer Havner
Donald Lee
Jarius Wynn (assuming Harrell continues to hold up)
Allen Barbre (OK maybe no value here)


Positions where we are very thin on reserves:
ILB (if Chillar moves outside)
OLB (even with Chillar ... Poppinga is very marginal)
Safety (depending on Bigby's health and how well Levine shows)

Anyone else see some trades coming?

Donald Lee is #2 on the Depth chart. There's no way he's not making the roster. Same with Havner at #3. We may start the season 4 TE's deep instead of 3 FB's like last year.

Don't forget about Teddy bringing in another no-name prior to the 2007 season.
Ryan Grant.
He's been fantastic and more durable than any back since he became the starter midway thru 2007.

Predicting WHO Teddy will trade for his impossible. Few of us had heard of Ryan Grant before we got him.

There should be some decent-to-good OLBs available.
I'd also put Quinn Johnson on the list of guys we might trade because they might not be good enough for our roster.
