Pats-NY Giants Sat. night game will also be on CBS & NBC TV

The National Football Leasgue league announced Wednesday that the NFL Network TV game between the New England Patriots and NY Giants on Saturday night will also Teecasted on NBC TVand CBS TV. It's a major concession by NFL officials, who have said they would show the game only on the NFL Network. The NFL had faced mounting pressure from politicians in recent weeks to make the game available to more viewers.

This will be the first three-network simulcast in NFL history and the first simulcast of any kind of an NFL game since the first Super Bowl in 1967, when CBS and NBC both televised the first meeting of the champions (Green Bay Packers of NFL vs Kansas City Chiefs of AFL in LA Coliseum) of the newly merged National Football League and American Football League .

The Green Bay Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10 in Super Bowl I in LA Coliseum.
