"We are playing for a Super Bowl so, let's trade our depth" seems silly. Is there any Super Bowl winner that has done that recently? If a team wants Willis then the are overpaying. By alot.

Mildly shocked honestly and yes he pairs well with what we have now but I just don’t hope we sped too much
I don't think we'll have to spend that much. Off the ball linebackers just aren't a hot commodity and are paid as such.

Just spit balling, a contract that averages 15M per year would place him tied for 5th among linebackers. 15M would be ~5% of the cap in 2025. Even the most basic of cap games could get that lower for a few years, if that's desired.

Roquan Smith is probably the most comparable contract, but Quay is no Roquan Smith. Of course, that contract is 3 years old and likely to be restructured this coming off season.

He has zero business sniffing that level of pay compared to the league. zero. (which for the record, that statement doesn't mean you're presenting an argument that he does)

I'm honestly not sure what he's worth. 10M per year would tie him in the 15th range.

He hasn't made eye popping impact plays, but he's fairly rare due to his size and speed. He also hasn't done anything bone-headed since his rookie year.

I like guessing. I think Quay will get a 3-year deal around $8-9Mil annual. Which means he’ll really get a 4yr deal X $10.667M annual area ;)

That should solve their problem.
Super Bowl, baby! Burrows will never get his job back!

Sorry, that sounded mean. I like Clifford, and wish him well. And I hope he has success, but I don't think this is going to matter a lot for the Bengals. The downside of it for us, though, is that it may make it less likely that Gutekunst would entertain an offer for Malik; although maybe I'm way overthinking that.

I saw at least one report (and I must admit I'm not sure how credible) saying the Bengals offered us a 6th for Willis...

... I don't even think you pick up the phone for anything less than a 3rd
