Packers sign WR Harvey Binford

Binford (6-feet, 185 pounds), 25 years old, a first-year player, played for the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League in 2015-16. He played collegiately at Lindenwood University in Belleville, Ill from 2012-13. In two seasons for the Lions he had 43 receptions for 978 yards (22.7 YPC) and nine touchdowns. He will wear No. 13 for the Packers.

Ok not following the logic here. Either Mont and Nelson's injury are worse than they are stating or they want to focus on our passing plays more than before which of course will increase the injury risks or they are using this guy to take snaps in the preseason to allow Mont and Nelson to fully recover before the opener?

I guess the Packers brought Binford in to have another healthy receiver capable of participating in this week's family night first and foremost, possibly keep him for some preseason games if Nelson and Montgomery can't play. Don't expect him to be anything more than a camp body though.

The best UDFA WR on the roster is Geronimo Allison. And even he doesnt make the roster. They are bringing extra guys to run routes and get hit period.

There's more to it than being extremely fast to play receiver in the NFL. I don't expect Binford to getting anywhere close to making the roster.
