I expect Starks to sign close to the same amount he agreed on in 2014 which was a bit more than $1.5 million per season. The Packers will approximately have close to $10 million in cap space entering the season if they don´t sign anyone else. With some of the money having to be used on replacements for players going on injured reserve the team doesn´t have enough cap space available to spend $3 million on a back-up RB.
If he came back for 1.5 I'm with you I just don't see that happening I read something saying he was one of the best screen backs in the league last year so I'm sure he knows that and with other teams interest his price will rise I would guess more 2-2.5 and if that's the case while Foster is sitting rotting and we wait long enough that he is in that ballpark (up to 3m) i like the pick up. While I like starky I think Foster is an upgrade with health which I know can be risky but I'll trade that for fumbles.

Any new rumors of players being tied to us? Or us looking at anyone?

Starks struggled with holding on to the ball last season as well and teams hardly overpay for a 30-year old back-up running back. I don´t see him making more than $1.5 million per season on a new deal.

If that. I bet he gets maybe 1m minimal.

Yes, I hear the Packers may sign Nick Perry. How about you, have you heard any new rumors?

The one bright side with some of these FA signings at TE; many of the teams that gained a TE and those who lost a TE but already had another one they liked better, probably wont be competing with the Packers in the draft for a TE.

Unfortunately this is a terribly weak draft class at the position though.

Agreed, nothing that is going to contribute year 1. But the fewer teams competing, might keep some better names on the board just a little bit longer and allow TT to grab a decent prospect. He found Finley in the 3rd round.

Unfortunately I don't see any prospects available matching Finley's skill set though.

I don't remember a lot about what people were talking about when Finley was drafted, I just remember "hope and potential" but given he was 3rd round, I don't think he was jumping off the charts either.

Everything you read about the TE draft says what you are saying, not much there to get too excited about. But if we don't find one in the FA market, do you stand pat with Rodgers/Perillo/Bachman or at least take another swing at finding one in the draft?

Scott Tolzien has agreed to a deal with the Colts, most likely meaning the Packers will enter next season with Brett Hundley as the back-up QB.

I wouldn't feel comfortable with that group but unfortunately I don't exoect any rookie to significantly improve the position either.

Sounds good to me. I truly believe that Brett is possibly the future of the Packers and his play in the pre-season last year showed a higher ceiling than Tolzien. Plus Tolzien isn't getting any younger and this gives him a chance to spread his wings.

I'm fine with going with Hundley as the back-up as well but if Rodgers plays another seven years as he has mentioned it's likely Hundley will never play a meaningful down for the Packers.

True, but this league is a fickle thing and you'll never know when your number is called.

I'd be happy if AR played out his contract. He'll be 36 (with over $100Mil in the bank) and if he & Olivia are still together they'll both want to be in CA. Hundley will be 27, and hopefully TT's replacement will extend him after '17 with a healthy pay bump + incentives to stick around as AR packs it in.

While Rodgers has said he wants to play another seven years he hasn't given any indication that he plans to play for another team. I know that a lot can change within four years but I expect Hundley to leave the Packers after the 2018 season to compete for a starting job somewhere else.
