My team is just not very good. Not bad but average. I was not on the bandwagon after 2 games and this is why. I've seen it all before. Good teams don't play like this for 2 games in a row.

So here we are in a shootout with a team that the Bears manhandled.

Once again I find myself feeling like this team is just lacking for some…mental fortitude, for lack of a better word. When we can play as front-runners we are as good as any team in the league. But - generally speaking - we are just not able to cope well with adversity.

Of course any talk of firing is wildly premature (except for perhaps Bisaccia…) but at some point I think you also have to ask… how long is reasonable to keep convincing ourselves something is going to change? For whatever reason it seems like LaFleur is simply incapable of getting his teams to play consistently disciplined and sharp football. How many years have we seen these sort of scenarios play out for - at this point should we really continue to expect him to “fix” it?

Defense looks gashed. Surprising. Cannot make a turnover. Something that has escaped us this season. In a game like this a mistake or two can be the game. Blocked PAT and Love fumble are the difference.

Love will get tested tonight. Just needs to keep the pressure on the good thing is if we score a TD we’re +4. If they score a TD they’re +3.
