Lou Michaels was placekicker for the Packers for 10 games in 1971. after playing for many years as an archrival of Green Bay with the Baltimore Colts. During the 1960's the Colts were usually the main competitors with Vince Lombardi's Packers for first place in the Western Conference.

In his one season in Green Bay Michaels made 8 of 14 field goal attempts and 19 0f 20 PAT's.

In his career as a kicker in the NFL he was 54.8% on field goals. He missed two attempts in Super Bowl III, though, in a year when he had hit 64% of his attempts in 1968.
