I just heard the sounds of Herb Waters, Goodson and Pipkins all packing their suitcases.

1: Niether of these guys are supplanting Tramon this year if he plays close to how he did last season.

2: With their skill sets Jackson is more the slot guy and Alexander the outside despite his size

I would not bet on any of that.

If you had told me a week ago that we would come out of the first two days with Jaire Alexander, Josh Jackson, and a 2019 1st round pick, my instant reaction would be that's the most unrealistic idea ever.

And don't think we're done here folks. We're not.

This one shocks me a bit. Jackson might of been the best player still on the board, but wow on more draft capital being spent on CB's.

I guess for all those unhappy about last night, you basically got 2 guys projected to go in the first rounds + a 2019 first round pick all for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick.

Actually getting Jackson in the 2nd makes me hate not taking James in the 1st even more

Would've preferred another position going in today, but he's a steal at #45 and it's not like we can't use him. Keep it rolling, Gutey!

Yeah because it's not like last years Tramon would've been far and away our best CB or that Jacksons biggest weakness is more easily exposed as an outside CB and all of his strengths scream slot CB

Seriously expecting any of these guys to be better then Tramon THIS SEASON is wishful thinking

Expecting Williams to be as good as Williams was last season is wishful thinking as well lol. I’d wager him performing a little closer to how he did the season prior which Alexander and Jackson can certainly outperform

House: $90,000 signing bonus is the only dead cap
Williams: $3.25 mil dead cap

Willilams isn't going anywhere except maybe the bench and dime. Starting positions will be competitive. King better bring some game we have not seen yet.

I don't think many people were complaining when we had Shields, Tramon, Hayward, House, and Hyde in 2014. Corner is a good spot to be deep in. I honestly couldn't tell you who will start/get the most PT. May be a competition all year

Which would still be better then anything we had. It's far more likely that one of these guys supplants King.

Thinking all 3 young CBs will outperform the experienced vet coming off a really good year is wishful thinking.

Yeah and odd are at least 1 or 2 will go down for an X period of time. Don’t remember the last season we played where we didn’t have corners dropping

Believing both Alexander and Jackson are going to walk in and supplant Williams this season is cute.

Safeties: Haha, Brice, Josh Jones, Marwin Evans

CB’s: Tramon Williams, Kevin King, Jaire Alexander, Josh Jackson, Lenzly Pipkins

Dline: Mo Wilkerson, Kenny Clark, Mike Daniels, Montravious Adams

LBs: Blake Martinez, Jake Ryan, Nick Perry, CM3, Vince Beigle, Chris Odom

Need to work on the linebacking core a bit, but I actually like this defense.

I like the pick based on value, as many had him first round. Sure we are spending a lot of capital on CB, but Pettine has to be really excited with the sudden depth there.

Oh yeah, as a die hard Louisville fan, Jaire is going to be a stud. Good draft so far.

Really like our D line, Adams hopefully will surprise some people this season, was injured all last year but a third round pick and the staff seems to love him.

Just 1 or 2? Isn't that being a bit optimistic? This is the Green Bay Packers CB's we are talking about. ;)
