I'm pumped about this pick. Sure, many of us thought EQ would go in the 3rd, but come on the 6th? Are we all THAT bad at scouting.....the mock drafts? LOL

Whatever the reason(s) he was passed on for so long, I hope they are something that can be fixed, because this guy could be a stud WR with the right QB and he has that!

I'm wondering if there is something in his personality that scared some teams off. Because he's coming from a pro style offense and he's super athletic. Whatever the case, that was a nice pick. The WR battle in camp is gonna be crazy. Adams and Cobb are safe. If no one else can return punts, Davis is safe. After that it's totally wide open.

Not that Dantes needs the confidence boost from a random stranger on the internet, but in all of our discussions I've found him to be easy to talk to. Very respectful when he doesn't need to be, sharp guy, big fan, even funny on occasion. Big, big kudos to the guy who converted him to a Packers fan.

You, on the other hand OSPF, have the maturity and mentality of a Chad. You don't want to be a Chad. Or a Thad. I hope you're not a dad.

Watch the HBO real sports special on the St. Brown brothers if you already haven’t. Teams might have shied away from two things. St. Browns father or St. Brown being one cultured( speaks 3 foreign languages) intelligent kid! I don’t care! Liked this kid as a player in college, really liked him after watching what a good kid he is in that real sports special, now I’m a huge fan because the kid is where he belongs! On the GREEN BAY PACKERS!

I, in fact, DO need the confidence boost.

Sorry if my frustrations of the packers front office pissing away Aaron Rodgers talents yr after yr since 2010. I don’t sugar coat the ineptness of a front office who doesn’t help out their all everything Franchise QB! If that frustration labels me, oh well life goes on.

Something definitely made him fall into the 6th round and I am glad that he did. I think had the Packers picked him in the 3rd, most of us would have been very happy. So what made him fall? Wimbush and the Notre Dame offense last year? That is my hope. He put up pretty decent stats in 2016 when Kizer was the QB.

58 receptions
961 yards
16.6 yds/catch
9 td's

Maybe if you start saying some intelligent things, that actually make it look like you know something other than negativity and anger, you would find that people treat your opinion much differently.

I don't expect this to fall on anything but deaf ears.

I would be surprised if that was the major factor. Teams can easily see if the issue is the QB when they evaluate him. I had heard a smattering of rumors here and there that teams were turned off by the personality. In any case, good for Green Bay.

Confidence does scare some people, yet some teams are fine with guys with arrest records and failed drug tests. SMH

I try not to get too high and mighty about it. These teams get a lot more information than we do. But the bottom line is that the Packers get to add a really great talent to their WR competition, and that's great news.

I think the issue is he has a VERY involved dad, and independent thinkers scare teams. Just look at Josh Rosen.

I want to like EQSB, but he seems like a big athletic WR who plays on the ground. He's kinda soft. Maybe playing with Kizer will help, idk. I just don't think he plays to his size like Moore does.

I know football! I have a passion about the packers! Anger? This is a post! You’re not speaking to me. If I was in front of you, my speaking would be in a normal tone of voice, with no anger, just frustration. How does wasting a talent that’s better than New England’s #12 not frustrate a hardcore packers fan? At times, I feel not having an owner screws our team. Because no owner would’ve put up w/ Dom Capers BS for eight yrs!(I wanted Capers gone after 2011)Ted Thompson tanking drafts so bad the past four years that the pack are picking CBs...AGAIN in 2018?!?! When the Super Bowl trophy has a packers legends name on it, the packers should have the patriots mentality going after the Lombardi w/a QB like AR! Instead, Mark Murphy and company are content on winning NFC North titles, & hosting a playoff GM(no nfc title GMs played at Lambeau while AR has been starting QB). As long as revenue is pouring in MM & company are content! That contentment has netted ONE SUPER BOWL & numerous heart aches in the playoffs! Appreciate the remaining playing years of AR because we got a glimpse last yr going 3-9 w/0 #12,as QB.

"EQB"

Sounds a bit like OBJ....without the attitude :)
That's odd.. I can no longer say simultaneous without thinking about Equanimeous? Strange

I guess we can now say.. "we got the Quan"

Or how about "The Quantifier"

I like your first one better "The EQualizer".

It will be interesting to hear what announcers call him, that first name can be a tongue twister. The really good announcers will learn to say it, the lazy ones will just call him "Brown".

The Milwaukee Bucks star player's name is Giannis Antetokounmpo. Many announcers call him just by his first name which is easy to say, but the seasoned ones love saying his last name to prove they can.

I'm fond of "6th Round Pick Who Needs to Make the Team Before He Gets a Nickname." It just kind of rolls off the tongue.

The WR battle in camp is gonna be crazy. Adams and Cobb are safe. If no one else can return punts, Davis is safe. After that it's totally wide open.

Alexander can return punts, and I think Allison based on being familiar with the offense does have some sense of security, just not as much as Adams and Cobb. Signing Jimmy may have been the best thing for Allison if he's lining up outside Week 1 as it's sure to help his statline.

Agree, especially on the part of Alexander being able to return punts, he is very capable and could be very good. I know some people cringe at the idea of putting a starter back there returning punts, but I would rather use the roster space and his skills for that, than to keep Davis on the roster just to return punts. Unless Davis improves quite a bit at WR, I think his chances of being on the final 53 go down substantially.

Allison may hold the kids off, but he’s not very talented, he’s a knucklehead, and they have literally nothing invested in him. So I wouldn’t consider him safe.

Alexander can return punts, but it’s questionable whether they’re going to want him doing that if he’s a starting corner. You don’t want to expose an important player to injury.
