6 turnovers for Detroit? Oooof...
The Mighty Detroit Kitty Kats are sitting at .500 (8-8) on the season, and in last place in the North... 1-4 in the Division, being swept by both us and that team from Minnesota.

As we sit today, The North has completely flipped from last year. Last year the Division finished Detroit, Minny, GB, & Chicago.

Today it sits Chicago, GB, Minny & Detroit...

Now I’m normally called the optimistic one. Yet if caution MLF very strictly here. Go back and watch that Vikings Defensive performance. MN defense put on an absolute clinic this Christmas. It literally broke some historic D records dating pre Super Bowl era.

The most obvious was MN brought an unusual number of 5+. Quite a few 6 man rushes. I counted more than several key plays rushing 7! Matt needs to draw up a series of counters for that over aggression. This isn’t Brosmer here in GB, but don’t let Love get killed, give him a speed outlet each to its 3rd n Long. Then use cadence to draw them or at least let them give us a peak of their hand. I’d rather sprinkle in a Timeout or 2 if we’re not matched up properly. Don’t pull a Max on the 33 yardline and take a sack at the 45 yardline. I’d rather just punch it up for 2 yards and line up McNamath.

Secondly MN went for the punch. Wilson, Van Ginkel, Harrison Smith they weren’t just tackling. They were fighting for that ball and allowing an extra 2-3 yards standing guys up and ripping it. Our O needs to be very aware and protect that ball and don’t try to get an unnecessary 1-2 extra yards unless it’s for the marker or TD.

Depending on what a W will or won't do against the Vikings, I'd be fine with sitting Love out against them. As you correctly pointed out, the Vikings D was all over Goff yesterday. With as inconsistent and as banged up as the Packers OL has been, if the game is relatively meaningless, keep Love healthy and get everyone ready for the Playoffs.

Yes. and Hopefully that will all be out the Window when SF beats Chicago (and what the heck as long as I’m dreaming, Buffalo beats Philly) Then the Division is in sight again and a possible 2 Seed.

That said. It’s Highly likely the only difference for GB getting a 3 seed would be at minimum 1 home game and still against Chicago. A 2 seed would = 2 home games minimum (If We Advance). With an outside chance of playing a Championship in GB if the #1 seed gets knocked off in the Divisional.

Win vs Win. Either we Improve our Seeding and Play at home… Or.. we get an extra week to rest and get healthy and light travel. Our Vikings Christmas Gift came right on time. They also get a worse draft pick.

The problem with these type games is going forward it won’t be easy to allow opponents to score 40 Burgers. That goes for GB and Chicago. Unless your Offense plans on scoring on nearly every drive it’s just not sustainable.

Probably the Bears. I can see the Eagles easily getting by the Commanders. The Lion lost their roar. The Bears will want pay back for WK 2.

More than likely. Will be interesting because Dan Campbell gonna reach hard into that 'Got no F's to give because doesn't matter if we win/lose' bag. He might petition the NFL to allow him to have a 5th down this week just so he can go for it.

Pay back for week two? They already knocked out both (or nearly so) our quarterbacks, what more do they want?

Looks like the NFC West has taken over the spot the NFC North had last year, and was expecting to have this year. With three strong teams in the playoffs. Of course last year, the North went 0-3 in the playoffs, so it was a big fart in the wind, as Ron Wolf would say.

Pretty difficult to get excited about either one of these teams going to the Super Bowl.
Just to be clear, I'm including the Seahawks and 49ers in that list too. Don't like any of them. I never hated the Patriots exactly, but they've had enough success that I don't care to see them crowned again.

Good coaches.
Doesn't make me like these teams anymore. When one of them comes to GB, I might get excited.
