When a defense lacks great speed they often chase or are taking the hit instead of being the hitter. It's not that the Packets didn't want to tackle Lynch their lack of athleticism often left them out of position and lunging at Lynch.

Its tougher to take on ball carriers when your NT is constantly getting blown 3-5 yards off the los. Those massive running lanes give a back a lot more speed and power.
