If you don't like the topic, don't read it. It's pretty simple. If there are too many topics you don't like then you must be in the wrong forum.

Out of all those guys. Only one is on the current Packers roster. Nall is not a hit and neither is Davenport. Nall is the 3rd string QB for the Buffalo Bills who was beat out by JP Losman and Kelly Holcomb for positions on the Bills depth chart. Nall was never the QB he lived up to and was a career backup. At best he's an okay player. Outside of that he is a total miss.

Najeh Davenport never lived up to his potential. He was drafted as the replacement to Henderson but the Packers felt he was best suited as a RB. He was constantly injured and he had only one good year as a guy who would relieve Green in the 4th quarter. Davenport is a miss. From that Draft only Kampman and Walker were actually hits.

Anderson played in the NFL for four year

That is why Marques Anders is a complete miss.

7 - 245 - Chris Johnson -
7 - 253 - DeAndrew Rubin -
7 - 256 - Carl Ford -
7 - 257 - Steve Josue -

Peterson was an ok pick considering at one time he was considered a 1st rounder. Curtin, Johnson and Josue had potential...projects

Barnett and that's it. Hillenmeyer ended up being a good player but guess who let him go? Mike Sherman did. It's a ridiculous statement to give any of these guys credit for being successful. That's one player from a single Draft. That is downright awful. Peterson is on the Texans and did not play much this year at all (if any) Peterson was also not considered a 1st round pick. Only a few media sources had him listed as a 1st round pick. I remember the article in the Green Bay Press Gazette. The Press Gazette is not a good Draft source. They had the Pack taking him that year as well which was a huge reach. He was a late 2nd to early 3rd round projection that had his fair share of problems.

Curtin and Josue I believe are out of the NFL now. Chris Johnson was on the Rams the last I saw but I believe was released just last year. Even if he is on a roster it’s because of is blazing speed. He was the fastest player in the 2003 Draft but he has yet and probably will never amount to nothing more than an average kick returner and a #5 CB.

2 from the 2002 Drafts. The info you are providing is hurting any argument you might be trying to make for Mike Sherman. He was a BAD GM. We're talking as bad as it gets.

Carroll had great potential, just couldn't learn the system. Thomas and Washington also had a lot of potential. All in all, Sheman drafted pretty well. Like I said, because of where the Packers finished and the nature of the draft, Sheman drafted projects with upside. Sherman would target certain players, trade down to get more picks, then use the acquired picks to trade up. He did this to make sure he got what he wanted.

Less than 1/3 of his picks are still playing in the NFL. That is not pretty good. That is downright awful. That is one of the worse turnouts in the history of the NFL. That is why Bob Harlan immediately demoted him because this team was getting no production out of it's draft picks. Carroll is still struggling in Jacksonville. You argument is they had potential. That means nothing since they obviously didn’t pan out for the Packers or any other team. Less than 33% is very bad.

If you all want to re-hash the same old crap that has been discussed time and time again and and get into pissing matches about a subject that doEsn't matter anymore take it to the NFL section, that is where it belongs since MIKE SHERMAN NO LONGER HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE PACKERS.

Yeah, paying Sherman is the reason why we missed out on SOOOOOOOOOO many Free Agents.

Instead, we should have just let Sherman coach in his final year and let the team wonder about their HC not to mention the HC ... this is too idiotic for a full response...

as buckey said, Sherman is gone.

Let's move on.

I think in the end, this thread has served its purpose finally. Once you get to the actual stats, I think the drafting record of Sherman speaks for itself. Let's all look to the future, TT and MM.
