I sincerely hope that you each get gifted something that you can use and want. Usually Father's Day gifts are something that we have to WORK with to use, know what I mean?

My in-laws are in from suburban Detroit ... so ... yeah.

My son ... what a guy ... and his truck owning buddy delivered a brand new rocker/recliner yesterday. Definitely picked up his game a little this year over last - a damned lawn edger. Kidding... { no, I'm not }, just kidding { no, I'm not } ... anyway, have a good day Dad's.

I never had the pleasure or honour of being a dad, but I know my Dad was my hero. I hope all of you Dads have a great day and are their heroes.

My wife and I moved to Florida from Wisconsin 3 yrs. ago to live near my son and wife.
He's a big help in so many ways keeping a eye out for this old goat and Mrs. goat.

The Lord was good to me once more and brought our only child, a baby girl, into our life October of 2018. I celebrated my first Fathers Day today at my brothers home.
Faith Clara (dedicated to our Lord and my late Grandmother Fritzi) is the last of my parents Grandkids (they already have 7 Great Grandchildren!)
and I evened the gender score..
Boys..7 Girls.. 7

I am most grateful that we each have a Heavenly Father that loves us so much that he gave up his only Son so that we may each live life more abundantly.

.. your friends saw you in makeup after dropping by unexpectedly during play time with your little girl.
.. you don't babysit, you take care of your children
.. you learn peanut butter and black lab hair sandwiches (made by your 4 year old and dropped) are not fatal
.. you sold the idea that the end crusts of the french bread are the best part.
.. you overhear your child's friends tell them they are so lucky to have you as their dad.

That is a MAJOR list! Our perspective can get skewed as we grow through adulthood. Later on, bouncing my son on my knee (he was 26 at the time), I came to fully realize that HE is my legacy. Our kids are the only thing we leave here, that really and truly measures our contribution.

No real food since 2pm Saturday.. It's 6 am Wednesday

But gall bladder coming out tomorrow, maybe able to go home soon after

Took out gallbladder and also had a hernia they fixed..

Used my button to go in and pull it out. Hurts like sum itch tho.

Happy to hear you're out of the hospital, but sorry to hear what you had to undergo. I remember when they operated on my belly button in regards to a hernia. I was sore for awhile. Just take it easy my friend.
