Yeah if a prosecutor can’t (in his opinion) prove his case beyond a reasonable, he shouldn’t bring the case. He’s just wasting everybody’s time. Now, getting a jury to agree is another matter.
Don't these things usually go to a grand jury to decide if charges should be pressed?

Yeah and Ty is right - they don't want to not charge him unless it's crystal clear he did nothing. And I think a 3P reported this to local cops.

It's hard to know how this will play out. Unfortunately the Packers don't have the luxury of time, but will have to wait like the rest of us for the DA's decision.
They have to play a season with this cloud hanging over them. Well, I do say that MLF seems to relish adversity. It is easier for him to take the team to battle when all appears lost than it is to win the crown when we have everything going for us. I think back like a decade ago when Arizona had to go into the playoffs with a 3rd string QB. I actually felt sorry for them.

Interesting point but I read somewhere that Zeke Elliott had a domestic abuse allegation some years back. His was about a month later (July). While no formal charge was brought against him, he was still suspended by the NFL. Although that 6 game suspension didn’t happen until the start of the following season.

And did they make him agree to special counseling.

That's interesting and a good example of how the NFL will punish a player even if he isn't charged with a crime.
