I Hope you get the (final) answer nessie. It remember the match, but it has been So long since it was played.

OMG...womens soccer, 2011 final USA against Japan.....:D
Without Sandolfs help I'd still have no idea
I've been to the Commerzbank Arena only once when watching the Confed CupFinal Brazil against Argentina in 2005. (4-1 Brazil).
But I've been to the old "Waldstadion" several times when Hamburg played at Frankfurt.

Here is another stadium that I've visited for Hamburg away games and still one of my favourites because its an old school football stadium with a terrific atmosphere.
The home team isnt first class anymore and at the moment it looks like as I will have the opportunity to travel there next season.

There ya go Nessie. Indeed it is Frankfurt and yes, I traveled all the way to see the Frauen Final between my USA girls and Japan. Although, I was not pleased with the shootout outcome, I had a great time and I can say I got to see a World Cup Final.

I threw a wrinkle in there (Question 3). The name of the stadium for that game was not Commerzbank Arena. Since this was a FIFA game and not an Eintracht Frankfurt game, the name of the Stadion printed on the ticket was Waldstadion.

I've got it. But I'll let someone else have a whack at it first. Luckily, I have a 21 year old Bamberg Raglo friend who quizzes me weekly on Stadions. He says its important for me to learn all of the stadions... lol. But I'll send ya a PM with the answer, and let Sandolf or anyone else have a crack at it.

You are both right guys, its Bochum ;)
To me still one of the most authentic football stadiums in our country. Always loved to go there to watch a football game.
On the left of the picture, the round building, is the Starlight Express Musical theatre.

I would've guessed that one incorrect. I would have guessed the arena for basketball or hockey.

You don't need to drive to Bochum nessie. This one is much closer... (and the amusements in the foreground are superior too. :D

Im wrong and you are right, Bundesbiers ! The musical theatre is just in front, a little bit on the left of the round building and because the stage is round I thought this must be the musical theatre. Just checked it with Google Earth, I've never seen it from the top.:D

I can understand these sentiments. I feel the same way about the Swamp... (aka Old Trafford). Although I would enter it to see City play. I don't have the same distaste for the Gottlieb Daimler Stadion as the Kickers have played there as the home team. I saw Pink Floyd performing there.

---
Multi-purpose stadiums are bad news. I remember watching Rhein Fire in Duesseldorf and cursing that stupid athletic track.

Our last bullet. Bert van Marwijk fired, Mirko Slomka will be our new manager. Im afraid its too late....
7 out of 11 members of the supervisory board are expected to resign after the official announcement of Slomka.

That is excellent nessie. I have always been very interested in all things Floyd. It was the Another Lapse in Reason or 2nd Europe Tour on 25 June 1989.

Just finished my high school these days ("Abitur"), man, this was a concert I will never forget. I think this was the only concert that was not played in a stadium.

You may remember the televised one from Venice where they played a free concert on a barge.

The perils of photographic reproduction. Kolsch in D-dorf is a seldom sight as a Manni Burgsmueller open field tackle.

Neues Deutschland, FDJ flag and funny sayings like "Den Sozialismus in seinem Lauf hält weder Ochs noch Esel auf" :D
That means: "Neither an ox nor a donkey is able to stop the progress of socialism." Yepp, Honni (Honecker) was wrong ;)
