I freely admit that I have not been to Newcastle or know the history. The only thing I could've told you about Newcastle is St James Park and Brown Ale. :p

I had no idea they were historically dependent on coal sales... now I do.

Dont worry about it Bund, that and letting slip humoungous leads for the Premiership title.

We had a haboob blow thru, so its only +31C right now. Last few days we were at +45C
....45 degrees C ! Incredible hot. I only experienced temperatures like that once when travelling the VAE and
Oman.
What are you guys doing at daytime, staying in the house and waiting until it cools down ? :cautious:

The good ole Las Vegas desert. Hot as hell in the summer... perfect the rest of the year.

Unfortunately we have to brave the heat during the day. When getting out of the car, run to the nearest building with air conditioning to get to where you are going. Get back in the car, sweat for 5 minutes in the stifling heat before the air conditioning in the car kicks in.

I know. My friend in Bamberg cries whenever it gets above +27.

I start to cry when it get to +48 and +50. Then I refuse to go outside at all. I'll go to a casino resort and sit in the pool under an umbrella. :)

And this may sound strange, but the cold and snow doesn't bother me. When I was in Bamberg last October, it was +15 and I was in shorts and tshirt and everyone thought I was crazy. I said hey, I'm still hot from Las Vegas summer. The reverse of thawing out from winter. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

And thats why I love travelling the US, nobody cares when your're wearing shorts though it seems a little cold outside. ;)
I think our fellow football fans up there in the north, in Scotland, are quite the same. I remember travelling Scotland in May and "everybody" was wearing t-shirts and we are still wearing our jackets because we still found it quite cold
outside ! :D
We are wimps, I know....:D
